Did you here about the bloke who got a deoderant stick stuck up his bum?  He'd only followed the instructions on the side.  They said 'remove lid and push up bottom'   :o  ;D

Eek out nail polish by adding a few drops of polish remover to the nearly empty jar & shake really well.

Eek out cream-based make up like foundation & cover cream by adding a small amount of cream make up remover & mixing well.

Eek out mascara by putting a few (like one or two) drops of either eye make up remover or mineral oil in the tube & mixing with the wand. Never pump the mascara wand up & down in the tube, this causes it to dry out, always swivel the wand around.

Make lipstick stay put longer by putting a layer of lip-salve on first & patting a very thin layer of loose powder over the top of the lipstick layer

Eek out loose face powder by buying a darker shade & mixing with talc to the correct shade.

Use a moisturiser OR a moisturising soap but not both.

Use a tinted moisturiser to avoid using foundation seperately (I can recommend the Body Shop Vitamin E one)

That's all I have, no vinegar tips I'm afraid ;)

Just thought of another one : freshly squeezed lemon juice on fair hair has a mild bleaching effect, good for highlights & doesn't damage your hair!

... and I'm sure you're all a lot smarter than I was at the age of 14, but just in case... brunettes, don't try this at home, especially if you have a bit of red hair in the family. Orange highlights are never a good look!

if you have a couple of old lippies you can create a new one.

Just scrape out all the colour that is left, into a little pot (an old lipgloss pot is good). Then buzz in the mircowave for a few seconds until it has all melted, mix together.

If they are different colours they will form a new shade - I do not guarantee it will be nice ::) It depends on the original colours! ;D)

Leave to cool and it will harden/solidify. Voila -

cool, thanks i'll try that i've got old lippies lying about everywhere!

as for the lemon in your hair, do be careful because it does work VERY well (Believe me i know from bitter experience!) dilute it with water and spray it on that way. :o

Can anybody help suggest something to reduce thread veins and redness in my face? I use a mixture of Boots Unfragranced Moisturiser (coz it's the ONLY one which stops my skin flaking), Skin Kindly SPF 15 (coz I need sun protection) and the proprietary Redness Remedy, which didn't particularly work.

    Any other ideas?
