LOL did think of it but thought people might groan
vinegar skin freshener
one part apple cider or distilled white vinegar to eight parts water. apply after each facewashing. Restores the skins natural acicity and really does clean and refine rough, blemished skin. Can be made more aesthetic by the addition of fragrant ingredients.
You can use the same ratio for a vinegar hair rinse; blonds should use white vinegar.
My mother was a great fan of vinegar and said it restored the acid mantle to skin and hair, I used to use it when I was very yung and it does work have just read the same about restroing the balance in my book.
She also said if you lack appetite due to ill health or whatever take 1 teaspoon of vineagar, should give an appetite.
So there you are that's my vinegar for now.Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

For rough hard skin on your feet - a paste of granulated sugar and lemon juice rubbed over them - cover feet with old socks and leave overnight - the next morning when you rinse off the paste feet should be smooth.
This also works well for hands if you rinse off fairly quickly.
It is not my tip - it was on one of the earlier threads.
Does anyone know how to get rid of what looks like goose pimples only red , on the top of arms ?
I have tried all sorts of moisturisers etc.
I even tried Gillian McKeiths idea of vitamins - useless.

I have the not-so-attractive red goose pimples too on upper arms and on my legs :-[ I've not found anything that will get rid of them, and having done a bit of asking around general opinion seems to be that they are hair follicles or something
The best thing I've found yet, is to keep my skin nice and smooth with a good old body scrub, then to mix a small amount of fake tan in with my regular body lotion, and the tiny bit of colour seems to make them less obviousI :heart2: Boots
