Hi, I had a fun afternoon yesterday, I took my boys to our local park and 2 minutes before we were going to leave DS1 fell off the top of the slide:eek:. He's broken his arm so we have to go back today to see the consultant. I'm hoping that they will put it in a splint rather than a cast. It would be his right arm so life is a little interesting. We've had to move his mattress into his brothers room as he had a cabin bed and couldn't climb in! I'll probably get him into school this afternoon and then go shopping for food.0

Morning Everyone
Had a new toy to play with yesterday, a Blackberry phone, on a upgrade as my contract had run out, and got loads of extra minutes/texts and free internet, for the same pennies, courtesy of readying the mobile phone thread, and retentions post for my provider;). Thanks MSE. Will be working on DH's next, but he wants a simpler 'phone.
Means I can keep an eye on my emails when in the 'van without costing or nipping to McD. Using the site could be harder without a large magnifying glass, though I may try to specs I keep for embroidery/close work. The emails are fine it is just web pages.
Also means easier commmunications with DS who also has one.
OS wise, two chicken carcasses turned into stock.
Sunnygirl glad Dad is home.
Pen-Pin hope the pain is easing
Pen-Pen Good Luck to your DD and all taking exams - Enjoy Venice
H-J & Nessie Pleased to hear you having some nice weather
Taplady Hope you have DS2's school sorted.
:grouphug: as needed/wanted
:hello: newbies
 everyone.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Good Morning All! Just dull here so far. I really should try to get some washing out as we are away from tomorrow for a few days, going to a wedding. Today won't be too OS and I'm having my nails and my hair done before we set off to visit DS2 late this afternoon. Thought a pamper day would be good....but now thinking how extravagant I'm being. Would have to pay if I cancelled tho', so may as well enjoy!
I do need to meal-plan for next week and try to fit in a visit to Mr T's if possible. Will also try to at least straighten up downstairs - always depressing to return to a mess!
Sunnygirl - really glad to hear your Dad is now home again - fingers crossed for a speedy recovery now.
Donnygal - I do envy you, I'd love a blackberry, but not sure if I could justify it.
Thanks again to so many of you for the continued good wishes - you're a great bunch!Resolution:

If I tried I probably couldn't:o, however if anyone has a phone where the contract period has ended or due to end, it is worth reading the retentions thread for our phone company here I could hardly beleive what you can get if you go to retentions rather than renewals.
Snowy Congrats on new job.

Just to clarify it was a long towel robe like mine, but smaller size. I would not answer the door in it thoughBitsy_Beans wrote: »Waaaaaaaay to much information  Just don't make a habit of it

Been locked out of the hosue for a while. OH locked the door when she went to work forgetting that our son was at home. I had a to climb a ladder and bang on the window to get him up to open the door. He got a shock with me peering at him.:rotfl:NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -
At least it got him up .... although if he is like my DS's he will soon be back in the land of nod :rolleyes:Been locked out of the hosue for a while. Please tell us you weren't wearing your wife's dressing gown at the time.
SunnyGirl, I'm glad your dad is home again.
tired mum, please try not to blame yourself. I don't know what age your son is, but teenagers do go through difficult times emotionally and sometimes don't really know how to deal with it and react in a way that's out of character. You sound like a really good mum to me. ((Hugs)).
Right, I really must go and do something....all I've achieved so far are the breakfast dishes and making the beds.

:hello:Morning all!
N9eav - Good thing you had a ladder to hand!
tiredmum (((HUGS)))
Penny_Pincher - Hope your arm is less sore today x
Looby loo - Your poor DS, hope he gets better quickly. If he does need a cast it may be a fibreglass one, much lighter than plaster-of-Paris.
sunnygirl - it's great that your Dad is home, I'm sure he'll be able to rest better there. Best wishes to him and your Mum.
AussieLass and vickyA :wave::wave:
Stefejb - Don't know if you'll see this, as i expect you're too worn out to come on here by the time you've cycled home and had dinner, but i hope the new job is okay so far.
Well, more washing to do today and it doesn't look as if it's going to be hung outside - will see how the weather is later  I've just emptied the DW - so thankful that DD1 gave it to us, it's such a help :Aand probably uses less water than washing up in the sink.
Dinner will be curry made with yesterday's roast chicken, yum! And there will be plenty to go into the freezer for another day.
Hope everyone has a good day.
