Tired Mum - ((((((hugs)))))) it's so hard with teenagers. I'm sure it will be sorted out though. As Pink said they go through all sorts of see-sawing emotions - anger being the one that we usually see the most of. Take it easy on yourself it's nothing you've done I'm sure xx
  • Morning OS chums! hi.gif

Nesssie - my only problem there would be stopping at one!!
Sunnygirl - Glad your dad is at home, I bet he feels better for that.
Beemuzed - everyone deserves a pamper now and again and you certainly do so hope you stopped feeling guilty and just enjoyed the whole experience!
    Tired mum - *hugs* hon
Squiggly - hope all is going well
    Halight - missing your posts.

My OH came home with some broccoli, sprout and leek plants yesterday - not things that can be grown in pots so much but we have some potato bags that the leeks at least can go into. Never grown any of them before so it will be interesting to try. IF we can find a bare patch of mud to plant them in!

Tuna and broccolli bake for dinner tonight with home made garlic bread. We haven't had pasta for ages and we have plenty of cheese so it should be nice. With Tuna so expensive now it is a treat! When I think about a year ago we used to have several times a week just in sandwiches as it was only about 30p a tin. Cheapest I can now find is 57p in Tescos!

Going to try a car today. Fiat Scudo. It's a van type shape and way too expensive for us but going to test drive and just see. We have extended our Motability contract on our car for another 3 months while we try the final two cars on our list.

Still looking for Kingsmill tokens - bought some crumpets yesterday so that was another one for the collection!
I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day. Warm gentle smileyhug.giffor anyone who wants or needs one.

    I've been Money Tipped!
MSD - at some point within the next 72 hours, I am definitely certainly almost probably going to send off the tokens I have for you - only one or two but every little helps, as the advert says. Good luck with the car - I think it is worth getting one exactly right for you, now matter how exacting that can be, because your comfort depends so much on it.

Sunnygirl - I am so glad that your father is home, he will feel so much more comfortable there. I am sure he will improve in leaps and bounds, especially now that they know what is going on.

Tired mum - hugs. Lots and lots of hugs. I am confident you are a lovely mum, and that you will find a way.

Meanmarie - how are Thunder and Sile doing? They sound so gorgeous. Evil cat is only hissing with fury a little bit now at the eye drops. However she has started to hide when she suspects that they may happen.

Very little OS planned today. I've bought some vitamins from the chemist that are supposed to be good for the immune system, the dr has upped my anti depressants and little bear has seen the consultant - another one who loves playing with him. He had her eating out of the palm of his hand, dear heart was so proud. Cognition etc is coming on well, speech is lagging behind. He showed off with his letters, counting, etc. The consultant was not concerned and gave us the choice of coming back in six months or in three months if we were bothered. Dear heart decided three months, but I think that was so he could see little bear charming the consultant again.

So the washer is on, ironing may be considered, also knitting. I am nearly three quarters of the way through my blanket, around 1300 grams knitted so far out of 2000g. I have decided to set myself targets that when I reach them I can buy more wool to knit blankets. There is the minor matter of several sheep worth of yarn stashed, but I can gloss over that.

    Hugs to all

Should be making chicken pie for tea but the morning seems to have run away with me on here:o
in my defence I have already cleaned upstairs, BM on, WM on TD on( raining).
DS got his next consultants review through today for July.....they are going to try to get me to try some medication for his ADHD and Autism but am not keen:rolleyes:. He saw physio last week and his motor skills are very delayed...could not do a 6 piece jigsaw...seemed to have no idea, kept trying to put pieces on top of each other...they have suggested he starts with 2 piece jigsaws again so he is years behind really. Sometimes I feel like I don`t know what I am doing:o
I am looking for a large chunky scooter for his bday in July....has anyone seen any? I can only find micro scooters and he wouldnt deal with them.
Freezing here today like winter.....lord only knows what Neav was doing with his tackle out on a cold day like this:rotfl:
Well must heave my butt off the sofa and continue with the work.
Hugs to all who need them

WS hope the increase in anti D`s do the job

Forgot to say congratulations to Snowy on the new job.
And wanted to say to tired mum. I agree with those who say you sound like a great mum. Try to think of it as a stage that I'm sure will pass.

I seem to be taking notions today. :o I've been as busy as a Bethebee. :p;):D
First of all I took a notion to paint the shed. OH talked himself into getting an all singing all dancing paint spraying machine at the weekend. I duly loaded it with paint and sprayed. Yes it does the job very quickly and the shed was soon covered in paint. Unfortunately so was I, the dog and the side of the house. :o Still, it's done and I am only a pale shade of green now. :D

Then I took a notion to bake. So far I have done 20 large choc chip cookies, 12 rhubarb and buttermilk muffins, 12 maple and pecan muffins, a carrot cake, a wholemeal loaf and a white loaf. I've also done a potato salad, pasta salad and green salad to go with the chicken which is roasting away as I type. Have just sorted the laundry and cleaned the bathroom so am going to sit in the garden for an hour before I go for the girls. ;)

    See you later

Ahem! You haven't got time to sit in the garden for an hour...remember I know what a messy baker you are. ;) Go and clean your kitchen! ;):p How's the loaf bread getting on in the greenhouse?

Noah'sPM, Argos have some chunkier scooters here

Looby_Lou, Your poor son! Mine broke his arm a two years ago had to have two operations to sort it out. It's amazing how they adapt and it will probably take more out of you than it does out of him.

Bathrooms sorted and windows at the back cleaned so I'm having a break with some bacon and toast before begining the vaccuming. I've grilled some bacon, and fried onions garlic, leeks and mushrooms. Mixed the Boursin with egg yolks and cream and will add the lot to spaghetti for a quick, cheap tasty tea tonight....something along the lines of carbonara. I hope it tastes ok. If I get time this afternoon I'll make meringues with the egg whites.
