Hi, just got back from the hospital. DS has broken his right arm and cracked the elbow of his left arm! He has a soft cast on the right and a sling for the left arm. I have no idea how he is going to manage in school, he's struggling with basic stuff like going to the toilet. I've got to pick DS2 up from Nursery in a bit and will need to see DS1's teacher at the same time. OS is out the window at the minute!

Looby, I'm so sorry to hear about your son's arm. My daughter broke hers aged 5 and she got used to the cast really quickly. Keeping it dry was the problem.

Pink..... My kitchen is gleaming thank you. but I'm sure I can smell burning coming from yours. :rotfl:

Just got another load of washing on the line. 22 pairs of childrens' gardening gloves from the gardening club. Passers-by are giving me some very funny looks. :o
And talking of passers-by we have some lovely birds in the garden at the moment but I got an awful shock earlier when I was deadheading one of the borders and heard a snap. I looked through the hedge to see a bird spotter with a long lens camera angled at my tree. I thought I'd been papped. :rotfl:

 I duly loaded it with paint and sprayed. Yes it does the job very quickly and the shed was soon covered in paint. Unfortunately so was I, the dog and the side of the house. :o

Omg, I hope the poor dog is ok ...................:D

Looby, ouch your poor son, hope the apin is not too bad for him, and he can cope with the plaster and sling xx

Hugs to Tiredmum, you are a good mum, and the little b*****s are sent to try us  xx

    Afternoon all.

Didn't get online yesterday, as I felt truly awful; hope I haven't missed anything of import. I did manage to make shepherd spy for dins, and bread rolls and chocolate buns for Mr LW's lunchbox, then that was me out for the count after that.

As for today - hmm, I have this strange vision of N9eav in his wife's dressing gown which I just cannot get out of my head. I was disappointed to read a bit later that it's just a towelling one - I [STRIKE]hoped[/STRIKE] thought it'd be something like mine - red "silk" with a dragon embroidered on the back!:rotfl:

Looby  I hope your DS is OK. I broke both my arms when I was a kid (couldn't do anything by halves!) but I don't have much in the way of memory of my childhood. Still, I hope he goes on alright.

Not done much today, as I'm still a bit out of it, so to speak. I do have an apple pie cooking, even as I type, so that qualifies me on the OS front, particularly as the apple needed using up. Dins tonight is the 2nd half of the shepherd spy.

I fear I'm starting to ramble, so will sign off now.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Louby Lou (((hugs))) for DS
    Also (((hugs))) for you TiredMum.

Its turned into a beautiful day here after all, glad I chanced the washing on the line. Couldnt get out of lunch but had a nice time. Need to pick up DD from her afterschool club - will pop into asda whilst there for a couple of bits. That reminds me must update the grocery challenge soon.

Have been to the library and stocked up with loads of books, if we get nice weather weekend nothing beats sitting in the garden reading.

Havnt actually got much done today and am out tonight, but house isnt looking too bad and the ironing pile is quite small so could be a lot worse.

Haribo - papped eh - N9eav better watch out if he gets locked out in ladies clothes again!

  • Afternoon everyone :j

Just having a quick cuppa, got home about 1/2 hour ago - have emptied the bin, stuck a load in the WM and put the breakfast things into soak.

Need to wash up, clean kitchen sides down, decide what to have for tea  maybe chicken breast, salad and jkt potatoes. I'm going to quickly iron the load of washing from yesterday, hoover the lounge and make the packed lunches for tomorrow.

I treated myself to some bare minerals eye make up today from Debenhams (10% off and free delivery using code) - bit pricey £31.50  but it is out of my birthday money ;)

Loobylou - Aww (((((hugs))))) to your DS

Lamewolf - hope you feel better soon - don't over do it :naughty:

Hope everyone is having a good day (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Looby - just logged in to hope that your little one feels better soon.

Lamewolf - I know what you mean about finding something OS to post about. Especially as OS is a bit of an endangered species here :o

Nea9ve - pink? You do write some really interesting posts.

Haribo - sounds like my type of decorating. How is the dog?

Anyway, board will go down soon, so I will see you the other side of the Great Absence.
Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!

Looby Lou My DD broke her leg, was in plaster for 12 weeks, then 6 weeks later broke her arm! DS2 has broke his arm & elbow & DS3 broke his leg in 5 places 2yrs ago lol lol!

They very quickly get used to the casts and different ways of doing things. Mybe trousers with elasticated waists might be worth investigating?

    (((hugs))) to him.
(((((hugs))))) also to Lamewolf & Penny Pincher xx

Pink & Haribo - I've been laughing at you two over the kitchens and burned cooking comments!
