Small Boy is good just needs to be poked in the right direction and the blinkers which allow him to step over all carnage in front of him, removed.

I asked DS to clear his things off the coffee table tonight. He picked up his glass, a drawing he had done but left the bloody great case of warhammer figures - blinkers!!! Blindfold more like:rotfl:

I think it's something found on the Y chromosome - the blinkers on/off gene.

It's about an Ad agency set in the 60's in Madison Ave, New York - hence Mad Men...

It's a weird one, because not much seems to happen, but it has you gripped (well me and my friends anyway!). It's slick, sexy and hilarious in places.
Very 60's in attitude and appearances though - plenty of patronising pats on the bottoms for the ladies  But very accurate historically - everyone smokes all the time. For example, in the first series, a woman went for a gynae check up and the Dr had a fag hanging out of his mouth as his was putting the gloves on ready to inspect :rotfl:

I thoroughly recommend it - best thing on TV for ages. They are re-running series 2 now, as series 3 starts soon :j

Ooh the best bit is of course, the lead character would give George Clooney a run for his money in the suave dept ;)

Holiday? Where you off to? Exciting :D

Also, this might be suicide but.....do you fancy being a total masochist and doing a carboot one weekend when there isn't quite so much snow on the ground? Just thought I would ask as you've got a big car and are also decluttering like a fiend :rotfl: I've never done one before so if it's rotten we could naff off for lunch instead ;)

I've booked a flat just off Oxford Street for 6 nights in Feb, so SB and I can do the sights. OH is swithering whether or not to come and this way it doesn't matter as the place sleeps 4. Husky is also booked in to lovely kennels down by Dunbar which she likes and is very very nice. One near me which is a hovel and should be condemned...grrrr.

Carboot sounds good. I've done a couple and they're a good laugh. SB helped and sounds like a Cockney Barrowboy...roll on up my darling 3 for a quid, best bargain in town sort of guff. Happy to provide transport and foldy uppy table. We might make a couple of quid (and then spend it on lunch). Do they still do one every week at the Omni Centre Car Park?

How are you feeling weather wise about tomoz...I've still got two inches of snow lying and more forecast for Tuesday. Looks pretty yucky to be honest.
