Just made a big pot of lentil and veg soup and will make bread in the morning. Currently in the bizarrest of bizzre situation with little in the way of proper food as OH (with some help from SB) managed to demolish a turkey, silverside and ham all in 2 days (the tiny bit I salvaged made a round of sandwiches today). £70 of meat in 2 days and he had the cheek to say he felt a bit bloated last night!

We don't do small portions, we don't ration but bl00dy hell that takes some effort. I've threatened to send him to the woman on the Old Style Board who made a rubber chicken stretch to 4 family meals and she and her hubby had a sneaky wing each as a treat one evening. That would scare him!!

So shopping and tip for me tomorrow.

MrsCRM - love a challenge but ashamed to say mine is avoiding ironing never actually doing it. Need to buy one in the sales, a family of mice had the last one :o

Cleared up all my paperwork today so feeling pretty virtuous.

Invoiced one client and paid myself from business. When this shows up it'll form part of the builders fund. With any luck that'll be nudging £10k by January...assuming the cheques don't go awol. After that it'll be a year of hard slog to bring it all in.

Back at work tomorrow (more pennies) and hopefully will meet up with Flying Fresian one lunchtime. That'll take the sting out of the working thing.

I need to get organised and print out copies of my amazon spends on prof books and add them to the expenses. I think a PA who also did some cleaning would be fabby. Can afford about £10 a week :rotfl:

£70 worth of meat in 2 days is amazing - but why I went to my parents for xmas and inlaws for boxing day! Saved a fortune on food LOL Probably spent a fortune on soft drinks and choccies tho!

Good luck with the £80,000 challenge - how is it made up?

    Hi Kissjenn!
Thought I'd come and say hello after seeing your comment about Kevin McC's nasal hair on DT's thread.

Was up til the wee hours reading, but only up to page 10, so will read some more now. I laughed out loud at Sean Connery smelling of embalming fluid (to much eye rolling from DH).

You are hilarious - not to mention one formidable lady!
Off to catch up now :)

Hiya kissjean. I have some catching up to do. I must have lost my subscription to your thread so am posting here in the hope of resubscribing. Now I need to read back a few pages and see what your 80,000 challenge is.
