They are very cute. OH has a very complex therory involving multiple Bumble Bees universes each one containing one bee so the bees are all static and we revolve around them. SB thinks they jump out of trees just as they see us coming and flap a bit to mimic flying. I think we all need therapy.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0

First mystery shop done and reported. Using my huge economic brain - I have concluded that driving 26 miles, eating £26.34 worth of pizza, leaving a tip and spending 4 hours getting there and back, pizzaing and then writing it all up VERSUS £19 fee doesn't quite add up.
Maybe not time to retire just yet!!
Plus side though it was a lovely evening with SB - I do like my son - how weird is that.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
Strange week. OH has been not too well and we've been trying to move offices. Oh my god...there's an entire Amazonian rainforest living in my house.
The recycling centre has had boxes of papers to chew on. Went to use my very expensive heavy duty shredder I'd loaned to my dad...hmmm dead - just like the previous 2 he'd killed. His tombstone will now readHere lies Weasel
Slayer of Shredders and Apprentices
(Sorry Satan but he's all yours now)He's currently perusing the local Care and Repair leaflet to see what free tradesmen he can have pop round. They don't do gardeners but he's hoping if he does the wounded puppy (he has an Oscar for his previous hangdog role) that he may persaude a joiner or plumber to pull his weeds. He's 83 going on 666.

Tenant Nightmare 1
Well another tenant is heading down "LHA is mine so sod off landlord" route. Currently owes over a thousand so Notice to Quit being issued on Monday. Council usual useless selves. Will be at over £2k before we get him out - aaaaagggggghhhhhhh.:eek::eek:
Tenant Nightmare 2
Lady reported an onimous crack in the ceiling.
"Urgent urgent urgent, afraid roof will cave in", she says.
Immediately called builder, she then ignored all calls from builder for a week. Went off on holiday - still ignoring builder obviously - she was in Scarborough.Came home to Grand Canyon in roof and floor flooded.
"Emergency, emergency, emergency, fix it now," at 8am on Sunday.
All drying out now, overflow problem fixed and ceiling still to be assessed.
Tenant to be assessed for evidence of brain function at later date.:o
On the good news front- Got a bit of tax rebate so builder costs should be covered and hopefully some left over.
- Planning permission almost, so of through. Only one little hurdlette left to cross.
- Office move nearing completion.

How do you get to be a mystery shopper? Is it the kind of thing you could fit around a day job?0

Hi,
Haven't found that much near us but Gapbusters have Pizza Hut, McDs, Subway etc and jobs come up for those. I'll PM you over the link. And yes, you can fit round work ... pizzas ... and take OH (or ME!!!).
Hows the worky stuff going?

Not if we compare thighs I bet!! We love it far too much ... SB made sandwiches this morning for school, 4 inches of bread minimum to make 4 slices. Now those are doorsteps, still I'm sure his jaw unhinges and he has hollow legs.
Reminds me I need to fight with Debenhams again...they are driving me nuts with their uselessness.:A Let us be grateful to people who make us happy: they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. Marcel Proust :A0 -
