Also BARCLAYCARD has to right there

Inspite of being with them for almost 3 years, with no missed payments what so ever, am still sitting on the same ridiculous limit and the same high apr of 29.9% with their barclaycrd initial
Everytime I request for a limit increase or atleast an reduction in the apr with an upgrade of the account, get the same ridiculous big fat no

Don't know what have I done wrong

Yep, my OH has one of those. They are nightmare. Last month one of the staff on the phone refused to set up a DD for payments? Anyone had that happen?

Last straw with them was that I lost my card somewhere and a while later I decided I would ask for a replacement. Phoned them up and got told "No problem....it's in the post and you'll get it in a few days". Two weeks later, nothing, so I rang them up and was told they weren't giving me another one - probably due to paying my bills etc. A month or so later, I paid off the card and closed it (well hopefully it's closed)

I recall I had a run in with Citi cards as they wanted to charge me £1.50 to make a debit card payment over the phone by actually speaking to an advisor, even the advisor suggested to call back and do it on the automated line where it's free. I said what's the difference on giving you the payment now rather than me having to ring back, he couldn't answer that.

Also Barclays I don't like as they gave me a low credit limit compared with limits I had previously on other credit card accounts which had since been closed being a responsible borrower.

    natwest bank
i had a loan off them for £5000 when i was 18 paid it off for the first 2 years no probs ,but then i got laid off and started to struggle so i made an appointment to see my bank manager and discuss my problems. i wish i hadnt botherred now because he gave me 2 options, first pay it off as agreed or second dont pay and be unable to get any credit for 6 years which needless to say i ended up doing .
if only he had reduced my payments for a bit till i got a new job ,i might not have ended up getting away with not paying over £3000 back

Natstressed - They let my mum and dad get into more debt than they could afford, and did it to my sister by giving her an overdraft twice the size of her monthly salary.

I like Barclays. Not had a problem, they always say yes to upping my O/D limimt (it's only £500 and was needed for a boiler emergency) and they're quite helpful too

Have you noticed those two statements going against each other?

In one case it's bad that they gave extra credit and in next one it is good:eek:
