Citibank. There's been a catalogue of problems but what worries me the most is their constant failure to add numbers together and arrive at the correct answer.

ahh see I find citi are rather good...... to be fair i'm being biased cos they gave me a gold card when i had no other credit lol so i do have a little patience for them, but hate the indian call centres.

Guess who in Citi is having trouble with the adding up? Amex are a true breath of fresh air after Citi.

£130? They must have sent letters regardless of paperless billing. I still recieve my bank charges even though my statements are online

No, they didn't. In the few months I had an account with Halifax I only received a few letters in the post from them; they were a letter enclosing my card, then one enclosing my pin and I think I had another for internet banking. No letters about charges at all. Really disgusting.

Number 1 contender would have to be Nationwide.

For their £30 penalty charges imposed, poor customer service etc.

However, as they were not exactly 'lending' to me..as I had a cashcard account, no overdraft etc.....
then a very close 'runner up' would be Express Gifts/Studio.

Declined me a £100 credit account, yet the company still had the audacity to report to the CRA's showing credit limit as Zero and (U)s showing!

    No lender gives me grief.
They stick to the terms and conditions and so do I.
    What could be more straightforward.

I think most of them are pretty helpful. I shifted a 7k balance around on interest free deals for about 6 years, whilst puting the money into a savings account. Recon it earned me about £2500. They are nice people.

Halifax  for their harassing phone calls via their Autodialler system! upwards of ten calls a day and I had to change my number to stop them calling and that didn't even stop them! And they harassed my sister on her number the same even though I had moved out years previously and they wouldn't take instruction to remove her number until I threatened them with the FOS. Also they couldn't explain how they managed to find out my new ex directory number! So I changed it again and had peace ever since.

    Abbey 1.For ruining N+P bs
2.for trying to charge £1 for using cash machines in the 90,s
3.For doubting my claim that someone attempted to break into my flat whilst i was in the branch wearing my Postman uniform
4.For charging my final mortgage payment twice and only giving it back when my lawyer got involved
5.For asking £200 from my mum to get my dads spanish death certificate translated into English
6.For taking over Bradford and Bingley and causing me to have to change all my direct debits to another provider as I would rather have chickenpox than stay with them.
I know its Santander now but its still the same monkeys working there.
I have a deep burning indifference
