ok, done that, but it failed with the email, error message, the specified server was found but there was no response from the server, please specify that the port and SSl info is correct ?

okay from the screen where you put in all those details, press the "More settings" button and then select Advanced and tell me what the numbers are.

thats okay I'm popping back and forth as well.

Those numbers should be right so we just need to find the missing link.

Next thing to try is click the tab for Outgoing Server. Then click the box where it says My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication. Then click ok and then Test Account Setting again and see if that makes any difference.

done that, still didn't work, i got the same error message mail failed

Dont want to know your actual email address but who do you try to get your emails through. I.E is it tiscali or virgin or wanadoo or what?
