Thread link or it didn't happen... :p;)

That could be the same for the OP in this thread - maybe they have been 'done in' by the saleman... :D

I've been keeping an eye out and haven't seen any news reports of prowler/slasher/intruder type murders recently, so I think there is still hope.

Just a little perhaps, but hope all the same.

The worst one is the OP that started the thread a month ago about a possible prowler visiting her house when she's out.

None of us even know if she's still alive any more! We all think she may have fallen ill of foul play......
Some of you are so vicious and callous, that poor lady might have come a right cropper......Now children It's not like I've been away weeks on end is it?!! Calm down!

This sort of thing is very time consuming when you are trying to conduct your normal routine alongside such unexpected hassle and generally smug p1ss taking unprofessionalism!

    SO, are you sitting comfortably?:D

Dealer won't admit supagard not applied, won't stump up a refund or anything remotely like it (salesman got his big fat commission cheque to think about with two children at home to feed afterall?! Aaagghhh there, there!)

Consumer Direct took down details and have passed complaint onto Trading Standards, let’s hope more people contact them in the future so something can be done about this type of scam.
When I get the time will write to Watchdog, they always 'out' such bad practice once they've managed to collate enough of the same information and prevent others being stung.

This isn't the only issue with this dealer, Motor City Plymouth Ltd, there's actually been a couple of rather strange events happen which has had me and others baffled, but perhaps this garage saw me coming when they knew I was looking for that particular type of engine and they had this 'baby' to off load onto some poor unsuspecting Mug. AND along I came!..... Shame that?! Normally difficult to dupe me, but obviously stress of being so suddenly without wheels and unable to get to work affected my judgement and skill?!!
Wouldn't wish the whole stressful and frustrating experience on anyone else either though?! So I've done my good turn for the year and saved some other poor soul from having to go through it! :A

DON'T BE A MUG..................SAY NO TO SUPAGARD!..........IT'S A CON! In fact say no to everything until you have adequate time to think it over and research it if necessary! and if you're told you have to commit right away recognise it for what it probably is a scam!!!!!

Life's far too short to let something like this get in the way, so I've decided to chalk it up to experience (the most expensive mistake I've made in a long time I know! :o:money:).

Liars, cheats, bullies and the like, I've always found, only normally operate as they do when they know they are in a position of power and are sufficiently confident and versed at knowing how they can slip under the radar and avoid taking responsibility for their actions, this guy's proved he's quite a showman, obviously loves what he does?!.............You never know he may actually treat some customers with honesty and respect?! Whatever? He's probably done this many times before so................ Here’s hoping what goes around, comes around! :D Karma, my dear salesman, Karma :p Only wish I could be there to witness it and rub it right in?!!!;)

Ya never know, at the end of the day, the motor may do me really proud by being totally reliable and economical like my old jalopy was and then I’ll simply look back and laugh at my stupidity without cause for regret! :D:D

So now, all you snidee's know that I wasn't done in by the salesman and I'm still alive!!!

Thanks to the MSEr's who posted with help and support....You're all lovely! :T

Another sales con is to offer you Supaguard at "cost price of £199"

Cost price is about £75 including the fancy briefcase of sprays, creams and cloths.

    You could ask the salesman...
"If you have applied the product, why does it not work? If a liquid is spilt on the seat it instantly soaks in. Surely that isn't right is it?"

Its not good enough for the salesman to keep on insisting that they have applied the product if it simply doesn't work.

Demand your money back... sale of goods act insists that the product must be fit for purpose.

Yeah thanks for advise, done all that already,

    1) Went to salesman asked that exact question.
He said it had been done, I argued it hadn't and put across my reasons for this claim.

    2) He dragged out a lackey from the back who backed him up in his claim that it had been applied, said he had done it himself.

    3) I repeated the question above.

    4) They said they'd have the car back in and reapply it if I wanted them to.

    5) No, I said I demanded a refund, as I'm not happy with the product or how it has been applied.

    6) They said I had to get in touch with supagard company who would send a rep to test if the product had been applied or not and how well it was working!

    7) Said that under sale of goods act, I didn't have an issue with supagard as a company supplying this product, I have a claim against them as the retailer who has not supplied it or not applied it properly and repeated my demand for a refund
    .
    8) Salesman just repeated I had to get in touch with supagard.

9)Came home rang consumer direct who said I was right the issue was with them as the retailer of the product not the supplier. That I should draft a letter stating problem asking for a refund on the product under misrepresentation and not taking reasonable care and attention.
Then if it ends up in a small claims court the onus of proof is on them.

But this could go on for ever AND they have to have the car back to repair a chip in the windscreen that passed annoyingly got through the MOT, they'll defo try applying it then without my permission, because I refused for it to be 'reapplied' and insisted on a refund. They know what they are playing at, these cowboys, commission is king and all that!!!

Never understand why people go for this sort of thing to be honest. Clean/wax polish and sorted.

If you spill something inside, so what, just mop it up.

    My personal opinion.

Hope you get a result though, hate seeing people scammed.
