  • Hi Linda

I hope you can help me please?

I have an older style Alan Hannah dress, name "Francoise" and need to get a petticoat for it. There are already layers of net under the dress so do not want to add more fullness as it is an A line shape, but I want a hoop to keep the material away from my legs, which would you advise please?

I cannot add pics as I am a new user, I am afraid. Also, do I need an attachment to go under the train or not?

    Many thanks in advance
  • Hi Linda
I'm not sure if you still come on here or not, but I was wondering if you could advise me please?
I have purchased a ronald joyce sedona 17246, but I'm not sure which petticoat I need. When I tried the dress on in the shop, the petticoat they put on made it look much fuller than the stock photos of the dress, but they wanted £130 for it so I didn't buy it.
Could you please recommend a petticoat that would fill the skirt out more than the stock photo shows, but nothing too over the top?
    Thank you.

Melanie, I don't think Linda comes on here now. She has fairly recently moved to Australia and has been really busy. I'll drop her a note on FB just in case

    Cheers Ellay xx

Ok this is the one I'm looking at yes? Problem with stock images is that they can 'make' up pettis to suit the image. Sometimes they can use anything to get the image they want. This doesn't help you though, so, looking at the best company for you will be Princess Sparkle and you will want a Jupon 163 or a 165 or call the store and ask if they used a Jupon petti and the code.
Yes, am currently in Perth WA enjoying the sunshine. HTH xx
  • Hiya Linda could you help me please. I bought a Ian stuart florentina dress and was advised to get a jupon 163 I don't want my skirt to look too big will it be ok the petticoat i have at the min has 2 hoops andi don't like it and the jupon has only 1 at the bottom? Also looked at the jupon 153 which has no metal hoop
this is the description on the websites:

jupon 163: Tulle Bridal petticoat 163 with one hoop and and three layers of flared, lace edged net. Ideal for wearing with an a-line or princess dress. Gives shape to your gown without too much fullness. Can be worn with or without the hoop depending on the look you want. Lycra means will fit Size 10 to 16 Size 16 - 20 has velcro fastening waistband for increased comfort and flexibilty of fit.

jupon 153:Lycra waist wedding petticoat 153 by Jupon. 3 layers of 3 tiered net without hoops. Gives a softer silhouette under gowns. Fully lined with lace trimmed hem. Lycra means will fit size 10 - 16 Size 16-20 has velcro fastened waistband for increased comfort and flexibility of fit.

I don't if that would one be in the way of my legs? I don't want the metal hoop to show under my dress either?

Would like to ask you about the detachable train too would I need it for that dress or will it be to much and over the top.
Thank you for your help. Just really don't know what to do for the best epec on the hoops?

Let me know if you would like to see picture of the front and back of my dress. Thank you. And I hope your enjoying all that sunshine lucky you :) Xx
  • Hi, I was wondering if anyone could advise me which Jupon petticoat would be best for my dress. I am not sure how to link a picture but it is Impression Bridal 3051

I have been looking at the Jupon 121.

Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jen
  • Hiya :)

I wonder if you could help.

I purchased my wedding dress on ebay; a Justin Alexander 8580. It is the same as the attached image but rather than the tea length it is the full length gown with train.

I am going for a fitting with a seamstress in a couple of weeks (wedding is december 2013) and just wondering what you would recommend for the dress?

    Really appreciate it
    Thank you.807238225_JAR_8555_F.jpg
