I love it too!
my mum was a rep over 30 years ago and still has most of her demo "kit" and it's still going strong
I had a tupperware party a few years ago and the demonstrator was VERY kind to me with hostess gifts0 -
I've just found this thread:D
No-one's mentioned the :j colander yet :j - mine's in use virtually every day - I'd be seriously lost without it.
Apart from that I have
fridge jug / multi-server / salad storer/crisper thing - (large one) / cook's maid (stacking lemon squeezer/egg separator/minigrater/jug)/ sift 'n' stor containers/ cookie cutter set / jelly mould / various stack 'n' stor some with pourer lids/ breakfast set (exclusives collection) / egg cups / various serving trays/lids / fridge mates / freezer stuff/ lidded tumbers / quickshake / kitchen towel holder / butter dish / and a cheeseboard/tray with lid that can also be used to serve up Viennetta.
I think I must have been invited to every Tupperware party going - scared to add up how much it must have cost me over the years. Having said that it's been worth every penny and still looks like new (apart from the one I store spaghetti sauce in;) )

Would agree, Tupperware is brilliant. I always remember my mom had a wonderful box with a colander in it when I was a kid (thirty odd years ago). It is offically for cooking rice & steaming fish (great for camping) It is still going strong now.
I acquired one about 15 years ago just after I got married and mine is still perfect. My friend use to do the parties but I think they have stopped them. Anyone got the web site address. Definitely worth the money. About the only stuff that actually seals and does not leak.
My Mum had an orange one of those rice cookers and I bought a grey one which I still have. Tupperware is pretty good stuff and I went to a Tupperware party about ten years ago so am shocked to hear they don't do them anymore!I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

I got one of these from a charity shop last year but can t find out how to use it, any help would be appreciated as it is sitting in the bottom of the cupboard just taking up space.
Put the rice and water in a saucepan as usual. Once the water has come to the boil tip the whole lot, water and rice straight into the colander bit, inside the bowl. Put the lid straight on and leave it on. The water drains through to the bowl then steam rises through the rice, goes to the top, condenses and goes back down over the rice and so keeps doing this 'til you take the lid off, by which time the rice is cooked.
DON'T TAKE THE LID OFF TOO SOON OR YOU WILL LOSE ALL THE STEAM!!!I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

Tupperware is virtually indestructable, I bet it will be dug up by archaeologists in a million years with one-million-year-old air trapped inside the seal.
I wonder if it will still be covered by the life time guarantee?! :rotfl:I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!

I used to be a Tupperware lady in the 80's and sold masses of the stuff. It really is fab and will outlast anything else on the market. When I used to sell it, it had a lifetime guarantee so no matter what design you had, you could get a repalacement if there was anything wrong with it.
All of the lids were transferable so you could just buy the new colured lids to modernise your old containers.

Now it only has a 10 year guarantee and you have toproduce the receipt. I wonder how many people keep the receipt!
I love the products but I really dont need to replace anything!0 -
I've got one of the multiservers and i use it to store a made salad in the fridge. Keeps the salad fresh all week ready to use for those sandwiches/cheese/chicken salad etc for lunchtimes. My DH takes a salad to work everyday. Tupperware is by far the best and worth the extra money. I bought mine in the 80's as my friend used to sell tupperware and had parties regularly.Proud to have dealt with my debts. Nerd number 288:j Debt free date Dec 07 :EasterBun

Just to remind you, my 10% discount on Tupperware for MSE members still applies, and I will keep it going through the summer. I *do* still need to ask you to to pay the standard 10% postage fee if I have to send it to you (i can deliver in London, but otherwise will have to post). This is not me taking back the discount -- postage fee is 10% of the already discounted total, i.e. 10% of 90%.
