    ok, sorry to seem dim.

what do we need to do to cancel the 3 contract....

quote that the cancellation of 3LH has affected her, as she now cant use the 3 phone in europe (where is going to work for 3 months)
    and the following link http://mobile6.three.co.uk/sdf/3lhactive1

then am i right in thinking that they will say, but it doesnt affect my dd contract.........

want to walk away..... now.... is this right? or does she need to ask for the PAC code..... which she wont use.....
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)

No get PAC as it ends contract in 2 days by porting to a payg sim on another network, 30 days notice means you pay an extra month.

It doesn't matter what 3 say, be firm and polite, your contract T&C changed and you dont accept the future roaming charges at all & as per T&C you are advised to call & cancel with 30 days, thats why you are calling, as per T&C 10.1d you now have "detrimental" roaming charges you do not accept.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

oops, i didnt see your update,

after 55 mins on phone they have cancelled my dd 3 contract...... she already has a vodafone sim with passport option.... so told 3 CS that she didnt want pac code.... as she wouldnt use it - therefore contract wouldnt cancel until the 30 days where up...

am i right in thinking that if she now sets her 3 mobile to forward all calls to her vodafone number, that calls and txts will count as part of her monthyl usage... which sounds confusing to me

Yes diverted calls to V will come out her 3 allowance, but after the allowance is used it will be xx pence per minute, she will need to ask callers what number they called or else she may go over her 3 minutes & that final bill could be a hefty one!

Congrats on 3 cancellation, 55 mins - they dont make it easy do they ! but you got there in the end - thats what matters :)

After giving the 30 days notice you can still call back 3 and get a PAC to port her number across to a payg sim on another network....saves a bigger bill from 3 & possible overuse when diverted calls go to V number !
