Catman I'd use proper custard too but make it slightly thicker than normal so it sets nicely. HTH.

Have spent about 10 days with my 'spring fever' -every year I get chesty, snotty and lose my voice. Should be about halfway through by now and got vertical this morning for the first time in 4 days, blood rushed to my feet. Had an interesting chat with the pharmacist in Boots today when I was looking for something for this pesky cough, Benylin knocks me out for 3 days, Sudafed keeps me awake for 3 days and Corvonia does nothing at all. Came away with Pholcodine linctus and lozenges so will now end up constipated!!

Cooked off 2 lots of beef mince and restocked the freezer with base for other stuff. Used up some out of date tins of tomatoes, dried mushrooms and tomato paste so feel very OS at the moment.

Sorry to hear that some people are having a tough time and glad to hear that others are having a improved time. Hope that those who are MIA are fine and dandy and too busy to post.

Think that's my quarterly post done?

Thanks! Am getting 'used' to it but it's still a nuisance. However, compared to many others it's so minor.

Hope that good vibrations are spreading out.

    Hello everybody,

Really late getting on here to-day....beautiful day so actually spent some time outside.

Spent quite a bit of to-day sorting a most unpleasant smell in the kitchen...pulled the whole place asunder, found nothing but having washed everything smell seems to be gone....was driving me nuts so that's a good result.

The kittens had their vaccination or whatever on Saturday and slept most of the last two days....boy, did they make up for it this evening....my knitting was dragged all over the place in the living room and all the help I got from OH was gales of laughter...was not impressed.

We can try to light the new stove to-morrow, looking forward to it, will be out gathering sticks in the morning as we can only light a small fire for a couple of days....

Hugs to all who are in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating, sleep well

    Marie
