One legitimate source for these stamps is franchise owners who are given an allocation of stamps from Subway and either do not offer them to customers or simply sell those that are refused.

As these things are effectively a type of money, I think it's highly unlikely that people are stealing them in these quantities with impunity.

Of course, they could be forgeries, but as they are presumably adhesive, that would not be a very likely scenario as you would need to set up rather a large operation to make it worth getting the correct gummed paper. Not impossible, but the economics seem a little dodgy - there must be easier scams.

I've only ever bought one Subway sandwich. It was sold as a Steak Sandwich. To me, this should have been a nice thick piece of steak (as many other establishments sell). Instead, what I got was a few, very thinly sliced, pieces of processed meat (presumably of some beef origin).

As they, in my mind, ripped me off, then, whilst I won't be buying any of these stamps, I say good luck to people who do!
