I bought some of these a couple of months ago and used them with no problems at all. It didn't cross my mind that they might be stolen. Surely if they're stolen then Subway would be on to ebay to stop people from selling them?

You'd think so wouldn't you? The seller I linked to has been selling for quite a long time and nothing has happened to him/her. I think there might be the odd person selling cards and stickers that are not stolen, will try to find one of those and satisfy my conscience and my desire for subway (thread has made me hungry!).

I bought mine from someone who just had ten full cards for sale in one auction. No previous sales of them or any since. I felt happier with that.

Subs taste so much nicer when you hand over a coupon! Have fun!!

Oh good, well I'll try to find one of those and enjoy cheap subs, yum!

  • OK, this seller is bent. I know the person who left him negative feedback. The items he is selling are nicked from Subway. Subway UK is trying to stop him selling these (along with other sellers), but Ebay won't play ball. However, as Subway is a franchise company, it's very hard for Subway UK to do anything about it. Subway's HO in the US is looking into this, too. If you're interested in the seller, I can tell you quite a bit about him - he runs a number of rather dubious businesses on the net, along with selling these items on ebay. If you work it out, he's made thousands out of flogging nicked subway stickers. He is even using a nicked subway t-shirt in his auction pics (that purple Subway thing the stamps are displayed on). His real name (as registered on ebay) is not the same as the name used on his paypal account. To top it all off, he emails for positive feedback before sending out the goods. If you want any more info, drop me an email.

The reason why the person who negged him doesn't have negative feedback from him is because it was removed by Ebay for swearing and making threats. That's the sort of bloke this seller is.

One more thing about this buyer. He originally had two negs for non-receipt of goods. I don't know how, but he's managed to get one removed.

Thanks for updating us on that! Interesting isn't it.

If what MyUserNamesTaken says is true then the guy's feedback record doesn't represent the whole truth. Very hard to create a record like that though, can't possible have conned all those people I wouldn't have thought!

Surely the point is not to try to stop him selling them through ebay, rather trying to catch the employee(s) nicking the things in the first place.

Anyway, I've decided to leave all the seemingly dodgy sellers to their dubiously legal activities and try to buy from genuine sellers. Why anyone would fill a card through purchasing subs but then not redeem it escapes me! But if they wanna sell then I'll be there to buy!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts :)
