Wow this thread has really grown and I haven't even done a proper post on ot yet!

Glad to hear you are better Mel and out of hospital.

I am getting very exciting reading everyones Christmas ideas, I really love Christmas is my fav time of the year and I am already buying presents and noting them down in my gifty notebook as suggested by Jammy. I love Rudolph day and have been following the organized christmas site for a few years now. Just wanted to say a special thank you to Julie H for all those ideas as there are a few new ones there for me to try out (still need to make the flannel rudolphs that I bought the bits for last year!!!)

I look forward to popping in when I can to see what you are all up to and joining in on some of the Christmas/Rudolph challenges.
Also I will be interested in all the ideas for Fathers day as not done too well on planning for that one as I think I forgot to put it in my gifty notebook (whoops!) not too late to start though!!

I have to really concentrate on the money making side of things at the moment (won't bore you all with the details!!) so will probably be spending lots of time on the money making thread trying to do more surveys, bingoport and hoping to start selling on ebay. But then I will have more pennies to spend on my presents and on my crafting (I hope). I really must motivate myself (read that as get someone to kick me up the behind!!) so will see some of you over on Jammy's thread! xxx

    Afternoon Ladies

PLM glad you are feeling better and you are back on the forum. This thread is coming along nicely isnt it with all the ideas.

Went in the local charity shop today and bought one of these
    mirror.jpg
it is a compact mirror originally from Monsoon and it cost £4.75, it is still selling on the web site for £10 so I was very pleased. I have knitted my eldest daughter a blue cropped cardigan for her birthday so I am going to give her this as well and as they are both blue thought I would look out for some more small blue bits to go with it and she can have a blue themed present.

Nice to see some new peeps on the thread, the more the merrier.

Hey everyone!! Nice to see some lovely familiar faces and also all these crazy new ones with all their new fangled ideas and excitement :D Time to get my christmas notepad out I think!!

If you don't want to make something you can always set a challenge to clean out a certain cupboard by the 25th, to write out gift lists and ideas in a new christmas note book etc etc. The challenge is for you to make a dedication to complete something for Rudolph day so you can feel smug and more comfortable moving towards Christmas.

    **WARNING PHOTO HEAVY!!**
In past years I have made a lot of things for Christmas. Most of them I haven't photographed because i've been so busy but here's a few:

    Cards:

I took a picture of my kids last year and used it for cards:

    Dodgy mobile phone pictures:

Christmas tree ornament for friend made with microscope slides and embossing powder as faux solder on edges:

    Two hampers:

Cheap candle which I personalised by stamping onto tissue paper then heating slightly on a candle. It melts the tissue paper in like a professionally printed candle. Also a personalised Snow globe with a picture of my daughter inside (49p Home Bargains)

Book I made to record all my Christmas traditions:

I also did one for 07 which is on my blog.

OK back to the real pictures LOL

Bauble I made for my daughter with a picture of her inside.. 99p HobbyCraft

Places I love to visit at Christmas time:

Thomas Land, can't recommend it enough and will definitely go again this year. They actually make it snow (with foam)

Any my favourite thing to do with the kids every single night in December (else they won't forgive me)... Visit the crazy neighbours houses!!

Hope I gave you some ideas and made you feel a bit festive!!

    Hi everyone,

well...I am confused now...2 new threads...WHY??? I liked it when it was all under one roof. Now if I want to be x-massy organised and then moneywise organised I will have to go through both threads. I am very busy, you know... :-)

Mel - it's great that you are alright. Thinking of you and lots of love to you. xxx :A

Anyhow, missing the festive season - so much so that I watched the x-mas at Larkins. :-) (the home farm, the larkins...) :-) last night. Love the Larkins. :-)

Money wise - weeeellllll, it's not been that good really. So I will hopefuly be doing a financial review and a good and realistic plan that I can stick to. I also do no spent days but it takes some organisation and forward planning. Hard work, basically.

Anyhow, anyone on here into patchwork? I love it. If anyone knows of any good sites about stuff such as layouts, types of fabrics and combinations, colour schemes and anything really. PLEASE. :-) Thank you. xxx

Oh, and awaiting extremely eagerly :-) Kath Kidston free mag. It's like waiting for Santa to arrive. :-) You know what I mean? :-)
    xxx
P.S. Haven't caught up with these new threads yet but I'll try at the weekend. If it is not sunny, that is. If sunny, I'll be otherwise occupied :-) (the gaaaaarden!!!!!) :-)

    Beautiful things mel..............so cleverly done.:T

Please don't make me feel too festive just yet.............got some birthdays to sort out first.
But for my May 25th 'challenge' I'll try (did say 'try') to sort out all the hoard of stuff in my spare room into some sort of order so I know who's having what.............hope that'll do:j

Aurora you really make me laugh with your Cath Kidston obsession.. did you watch Kirstys home makes where she met Cath and she spoke about how she does her colour schemes and puts things together? You can watch it for free on catch up TV on the channel 4 website, it's the first episode. I have never heard of the Larkins before.. I will have to buy it now!! I don't do quilting sorry.. if you saw me on a sewing machine you'd understand :D xx
