Evening - I'm back from Sunny Scotland
.
It wasn't too bad despite having to wear a jumper at the races - the heavens opened while we were waiting for the bus but was fine after that - although it was quite cold. Am really tired as am far too old to stay up till 2am and then 5am the next night .
BIL stays at East Kilbride and Glasgow city centre was swarming with take that groupies when we dropped of DSS at train station - note to self don't drive in the city with little sleep and make sure seat is close enough to pedals for hill starts :rotfl:.
PS didn't make any cash on horsesOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

What do you think of that man that celebrates Christmas Every Day with turkey all the trimmings, and buys new decs all the time too? I think that would be too much for me.
Oh that would be far too much:eek: and a little scary. When on earth would you organise it all?? Would you have a note book for everyday? The mind just boggles LOL
Off to pick DS1 up from cubs in 10 mins then time to get the kids in bed.
Catch you all later

Morning All
Well I'm going to be busy today, I'm determind to finish all the little bit and nagging jobs that still need doing after moving, want to try and sort out my OC File and all my note books and scraps of paper. I really must get on or I will not be enjoying the 6 weeks holidays. So I have 4 weeks to get organised. And I only have today and tomorrow to get organised for Rudolph day with the file.
Right going for my Coffee then getting stuck in, will let you all know how I'm getting on later

Morning ladies! I finished my Christmas shopping!
I was looking on IWOOT for something to spend my voucher on, and found a thing that was £130 that my OH would love. So I logged into ebay and found it for £97 delivered ... and then realised that I had a 10% off voucher! So I bought it from ebay, then back to IWOOT. I found three things to finish the shopping, checked ebay to see if they were cheaper and one of them was £10 less and I used my £2 off ebay voucher to save a little extra, so £23 instead of £35. Then I spent my voucher on the last two things. Delivery took it over the edge of free, but that's ok because IT'S ALL DONE!!!
A friend (well, she's a friend because she and I have known each other since we were kids and she refuses to respond to my hints that perhaps we have outgrown each other) sent me a little Benefit kit for my birthday. It's not something I'd ever use so it's going in the "random gift" box.
And a halfcost box, parcel 2 of 2, seems to have gone astray. I'm giving them till tomorrow and then I'll chase it up.
Hugs to anyone who wants them, and I shall now go off and get some breakfast.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
Wow! I salute your organisation.
This is my first year trying to be properly organised - and admitting to peoplle that I am trying! Am stashing away stamps for cards - where oh can't find them so i won't have to find any money for postage!
Just ordered dd2 an Eeyore watch in the boots sale - half price - am doing ok so far and starting to feel a warm glow!
oh leaves change lying around everywhere - this is now being 'tidied' into my Christmas fund!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Received my parcel from IWOOT this morning, the ATM Bank money box is really nice, I am sure my daughter will love it. Its much bigger than I thought it would be. Off to Faversham this morning to see my Dad and we are going to have a look round the town for a bit and have some lunch. Plenty of charity shops so keeping fingers crossed I can find some nice bits.
Ordered some bits from Ebay yesterday that I needed for sewing my patchwork bags so will be able to finish them off when it comes. Bought some 8 inch zips too and thinking of making make-up bags with the rest of the scraps of fabric I have left.0 -
sugarspun - well done on getting all your shopping done!!! Now that is organised!!!
I brought a few more stamps for the co-op yesterday - savings tham and tesco ones so its not such a hit near chrismas...... Also got my first £2 coin so i will be saving iteverylittle helps and i am determind that thischristmas will not be a mad skint time in dec!!
Thought of a gift for my (2nd) cousin for christmas which shouldnt cost to much, i used to do AVON and have lots of make up that i got on deals etc is all black so i thought i would make a hamper with hot pink shreaded paper and see if i can find a nice black box to pop them in, the make up is all black aswell - think it should be a nice present for a teenage girl????
I have also seen a really nice walker which i want to get for freya (she willbe 8mths a xmas so soon be needing one) Its a pushchaire but really sturdy so they can learn to walk with it - i have seen it at amazon so as soon as i have the vouchers for it ill gt it or if i notice it anywhere on offer...
Its my little girls bday in sept so i need to start thinking of things for her and for a paty for her..... dont want to leave it till the last min but i just cant think of anything she really NEEDS and dont want to just get things for the sake of it so will have to get my thinking head on......
anyway just realised i have gone on loadsso ill stop now!! xx

wow ive finally caught up. :j now i just need to decide which plan to follow and hope my printer is my friend today.
I love christmas and everything about it but my oh doesnt enjoy much so if anyone has any ideas how to try and get him into the spirit (obviously nearer the time) i would appreciate it.
Have wrote a list of birthdays, occasions and xmas added up the amount i usually spend on people and felt like i needed a stiff drink afterwards scary money that we havent got, so hope lots of crafty homemade pressies this year for people who wont be snobby about it.
I am very excited about my first Rudolph Day though :T
Hope you had the stiff drink, thats the delights of this board, you get some brillinat ideas,
I know for sure that I coukdnt meet my "expected" birthday spends, in our house, I do a trade off I take care of birthday presents and xmas, instead of contributing to some of the household bills ( I def get the better deal).
Some people we have to buy 3 sets of present, off mum + dad, me, dd so that is a headache b4 we start.
But this might give you faith, as I have finished the birthday presents for the year, (includes birthdays, fathers day x 2, mothers day x 3, + 2 presents for teachers when dd changes class)
35 people - 68 sets of presents
Expected budget = £490.00
Actual Spend = £223.90
Proper price of presents - £668.00
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
