The recipes sound delicious, I must have taster sessions first purely for quality control.
I am posting at this ridiculous hour as my 2 year old thinks it's time to wake up, so I am sitting in his room with my iPod touch convincing him that it is actually still bedtime, the iPod helps pass the time for me.
I actually did read the booklet about laundry, I wasn't going to, not properly, but I learnt some useful tips on saving energy, stain removal etc.

    Hi all

Back from two weeks hols in Greece and trying to acclimatise to the cold weather here in Scotland! Also trying to catch up on all the threads here, slowly!

Brought back some bits & pieces for proposed pamper hampers for my three "girls", DD, DIL1, DIL2. Lovely natural olive oil soaps, colour co-ordinated facecloths, pumice stones and some small sea sponges. Also some "Greek Delight" sweets and lots of dried stuff such as lavender, chamomile etc for making soaps and bath bombs so can't wait to get started on those too.

Also popped into Boots yesterday and got free Sanctuary travel kit worth £10 for spending £10 (two more items of Sanctuary) and a Charles Worthington hair thing half price at £1.14-total £11.58. Could have used my Boots points but decided to keep them for another day.

I think my problem will be (as others on here have said) of buying too much just because I can get bargains!! but heyho it's fun.

Meanwhile today must get back into the home routine, do some cooking and some gentle cleaning and try not to think about what I would be doing if I was back in Crete!! and remember will be going back in September.:T

    Morning all!!! :-)

I managed to finish the vo survey, hoorayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! :-) another £2.50. Just have to wait for them to update my total and I think I should be able to claim £10 voucher. Can't wait!!! It's a rainy day today so no gardening but lots to catch up on indoors anyway. In fact, I am swamped with work so I better go and get on.

ellemm - :hello: Well done getting all those bits and pieces, I love Greece, I always stock up on olive oil and olives, ouzo, pine tree honey and the jared fruits. You make soap????!!!! :-) Tell us more please. :-) xxx

mum2one - :hello: Thank you for sharing your recipes, I will print them off and include in my oc folder. Thank you. xxx

Have a nice day everyone. xxx

I love Greece too aurora and all things Greek! Am still at the planning stage for the soaps, bath bombs and Lip Balms but will let you know how it goes.

Watched the series "Grow your own Drugs" and then bought the book which had been the inspiration. Have been buying bits and pieces to make a start since before the hols and have promised my two grand daughters aged 8 and 10 they can "help". Oldest one told her Mum's friend she was going to Granny's to make bath bombs from drugs:rotfl:they would get you hung especially as the friend is a police officer!! Luckily she knows us well!

    ooh the recipes sound lovely...

really want to try making bath bombs too...

Mel - just read about what's been happening - hugs to you and your little girl - hope you get yourself sorted soon and better xxx

My biggest bargain this week was a jolly phonics video I got for my dd - they are very expenisve - I saw it in a window of a charity shop in town and I thought right I'll pay up to a fiver for it cos it'll be worth it - so I asked the woman with fingers crossed and she said it's three videos for a pound... I was like WOOHOOOOOO! so I also picked up the rescuers and a peter rabbit and friends video as yesterday I took the bairn to beatrix potter world in windermere as it was an in service day. Really enjoyed it as it was somewhere my mam took me when I was young. Long drive though! but was most over the moon with the jolly phonics video.

Presents are mounting up for christmas as I have a few more purses arrived off ebay. Hello kitty ones I paid 64p and 99p for are really sweet.

Just realised with my boots 50pound worth of points I can't purchase gift cards so I will use the money to buy stuff for the baby and put the cash I would have spent in a pot for christmas neutral challenge.

    Fathers day -
husband' dad -taking his dad to the piccies with some free tickets he has
    my dad - 4.01p -
tie and cufflink set from homebargains for 2 pounds
best grandad socks - a pound,
    pork pies -a pound ish
    m and s sale 1p cufflinks
    bairns school photos
the bairns made him something as well.
(oh and they both get a bookmark with the bairns school photo on it - you get them when you order the school photos packs)
    Hubby -about a tenner
socks best dad and simpsons -two pounds -
one of them beer glasses that you chill in freezer with beer and bottle opener from asda - fiver
    pate and pork pies -1.50
    lynx bullet body spray 2.00
Jack daniels key ring - freebie
will get the bairn to make him something too.

Need to get a move on with christmas stuff - only have 2 and a bit months to my deadline for everything to be bought.

Ordered some wooden hearts to paint and turn into shabby chic signs for dd's teachers for leaving day. will cost a pound each - nice and cheap...will get them something else too cos they have been amazing.
