I think our BG Dalkirst was trying to hint that we only have comps in the main board, and are not allowed any other threads.

Any comps discussion, and many other threads posted in the main forum are moved into the comps discussion stickie.

If you have a read of the comping guidelines stickie it may help you to understand how the board is organised.

Hi,I don't tend to enter the instant wins.There are loads of other comps on here to keep me going.To increase your odds maybe try comps with tiebreakers.

Hi all,

I wondered what anyone thought of this idea...

Could we have a thread/sticky of current products who are running comps? I realise that in general comps posted should be free to enter, but many creep onto the boards anyway McVities, Pepsi etc etc.

It would be really helpful for me and I assume some others if all products where listed in one place so you could have a quick look before going supermarket shopping. By this I mean everyday products that people might consider switching brands for due to a promo - not to encourage people to buy products they wouldn't normally.

These could be things like a particular brand of toilet roll, coffee, butter, cheese, cereal etc.

I often forget the comps that are on when I'm in the supermarket, and having them in one place would be really useful to me.

What does anyone think?

Welcome to the board. There are some instants on the daily thread here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1319129

you can access this from the regular sticky. There are also weeklies and monthlies on the same board.

For freebies, if you go to the top where it says forum jump, you can find the freebies just above the competitions thread.

Reading the getting started guide that weeowen67 gave you the link to will also help.

personally i think it's a very good idea

It's just as easy to make a folder on ur toolbar and shove them in as u come across them xxx
I have folders for, comps with issues, effort comps, need to buy, constantly check.
