There was a solution??? Why was the other thread deleted its driving me crazy trying to find a right, there are over 300 winners im in top 150 for lefts found, surely I should have found one by now. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! I have also noticed the people who were top havent found any for a while and are slipping down the leader board. Is this comp a scam? Is that why its been deleted? If it is can someone PM me so I stop spending hours on this? Thanks xxxHoping the comping fairy is nice this month and the postman comes.

I think the previous threads were deleted because of self promotion.
Also, some people are concerned that it could be a scam, as winners of the CD have been sent an email asking for their address details.
However, i have now won a TShirt and a scarf (2 rights, all the others left, and i won the scarf this afternoon) so in that respect it is not a con. Also, i have not been emailed for my address details. My own personal belief is that they are emailing CD winners as they will be sending those out immediately, where all other winners will be sent their prize after the comp has finished. I dont know if they will then email us, or if they will use the details stored on their records - i was thinking they might be emailing CD winners to save having to look up their details but who knows!
Of course, it could be one big con, but i do hope not!0 -
I don't think this competition was a scam. Some people were worried because one of the emails they sent out looked a bit amateur, but personally I think it was fine. I am guessing that the original thread was deleted due to self-promotion. The original poster wyyvic has now been PPR'd by the abuse team. In their profile they put down their occupation as website editor so it was probably their website.0

I think I've prob come to end of the line, but if anyone has any helpful suggestions, please shout. I won a Sun/MTV comp in NOV 09, to win the £12,500 celebs goodie bag from the Europe MTV awards. Sounds great, doesn't it. Problem is, nothing turned up, despite lots of chasing, until I contacted ISP.Then a box of about half the quoted items on MTV website arrived(worth few hundred quid max) but missing all of the good ones - like designer sunglasses, 2 nights luxury thai holiday, etc, etc. Eventually, a one-off top-up of electric guitar arrived, & an offer of 2 tickets to 2010 mtv awards(not received, mind you, just offered as final settlement for all rest missing stuff). Complaint got moved on to ASA, who then said, yes, The Sun was wrong, they've said sorry & thats the end of it; they have no legal jurisdiction to make company's really give you what they offer. So beware going to the ISP,(ASA partic) cos in the end, they can do nothing, it seems. I presume having complained to the ASA (with zero gain) that the MTV tickets offer will now not come true either.:( :mad:0

So sorry to hear of your problems. If that was me and probably cus I'm not always a nice person, I'd phone the Daily Mirror and the Daily Mail and ask them if they are interested in publishing the ASA results. Then phone sun and tell them what you've done.
I threatened my local paper with another local paper once and got an even better result!loubylou700 wrote: »I think I've prob come to end of the line, but if anyone has any helpful suggestions, please shout. A mad shot, but if u let us know ur name, we can enmasse email the sun editor and bring it to light how bad this shoddy practice of offering a fab comp prize then letting u down is, im sure enough people email, they will realise they will have to act to calm their customers xxxxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -
