Thanks bubblybee . Right, I’ve tried this (took me ages to find an email comp to try it out though). Did what you said – right clicked, ticked ‘standard’ etc – toolbar came up at the very top of page and has buttons for new email, one that says just ‘email’ but still no ‘send’ – very weird?

By the way, I'm doing this when the email box opens straight from the comp link - with my usual email I don't have any such problem - there is an obvious 'send' box.

Sounds like you are using Outlook. Normally the send button is in the standard toolbar. It should simply be a small box on the lefthand side of the toolbar which says SEND. It's the same tool bar as the save and print icons. If the toolbar isn't showing. Right click where the toolbar should be and make sure there is a tick on the 'standard' option. mmmm. It could be that you are opening up a different email package when you click on a link. Let's see... when you go to send an email normally, what do you do... what program do you open up to do it... what is it called exactly?

Okay, I click on the link to the email in the comp, it brings up an email page, I type in the answer etc and then I generally have to click on ‘file’ and then choose ‘send to’ then ‘file recipient’. I click that and that’s it sent (I think). Then when I go to close the email page it asks do I want to save the details or not – sometimes I say no and sometimes yes (but I don’t know which I should do to be honest lol).

Right, somehow I have managed to put a ‘send now’ button in the toolbar (by going to customize by right clicking the toolbar) and I’ve tried using the comp email link a couple of times and it still seems to be there. When I click it to send, there is no indication that it’s sent, although I think it probably has.

It’s just a bit confusing because you really aren’t sure that it’s actually gone because everything looks the same! (if you get my drift).

I think the problem is that the default email package hasn't been set up to send emails and it's different to what you normally use to send emails. What internet browser do you use?

When you apply to competitions if you tick the box where you recieve the email newsletters etc do you have a better chance of winning?
