Hoping I post this in the right place...
I have been doing comps for just over a month, been entering at least 100+ a day, and I just don't seem to win anything (apart from a few instants!), believe me when I say I am not moaning and definately don't EXPECT to win anything, but the green eyed monster does sometimes come out when I see everyone else's win's and especially win's on the one's I know I have entered, now, is there anything else I can possibly do to increase my chances??
I know some of the comp's I have done haven't finished yet, and sometimes you don't get a WEM or call and prize just turns up, so might not have been sent yet, but I feel so disheartened...lol (ok semi moan over...hehehe) any suggestions?? xx
Haven't had a win myself for quite some time, its just the way it goes. My longest period without any win was four months. If you've been comping a month i wouldn't expect many of those to have finished yet so you may get a few notifications in the new year.
If your not already, try doing postals as few people tend to enter those and the odds are slightly better:DThoughts:

On the subject of postal competitions, if you enter them how do you do it? Do you personalise the postcards or anything? And do I write it like a travel postcard, but put my address in the empty space? Do you write anything else?
I've just bought a pack of picture postcards so I'm going to try my luck!
Must have started comping around the same time RatGirl, I think we are in the same boat!0 -

ratgirl - hope you soon get a good win, only way to win is enter loads and keep your fingers crossed and try your hand at postals, there was a fantastic win on iwiw lately from dandy mag, all for the cost of a 50p call/text:D
take inspiration from people's wins, i know i do, it shows that people are winning:D and next time it could be you
izbizzle - you dont have to personalise if you dont want to, i use tinkerbell stickers but thats just me;) yes write address on the left then then comp address on the right, as korky has said, look through the link she has posted and that should give you some good tips
good luck xx0 -

Thanks, Korky I clearly missed that section first time round. I've done a few (I've found some Angelina Balerena stickers...) so I'm nipping down to the postbox to post them. This comping lark is starting to become a bit of an addiction, but I love it0 -
Thanks all for your advice, I really want to keep it as a hobby and not have to spend any money ie, on stamps, will keep going and keep my fingers crossed xx0

Didn't know whether to put this here or in Compers Inn, but here goes - when I try to sort comps by end date Ascending it starts with comps ending 01/01. When I sort Descending it starts with 31/12 and on the 26th page of comps with this end date i got fed up! Am I missing something really simple and obvious?!
Thanks in advance!! x
Edit: just realised that it would do that in Ascending, as it works on numbers and not date logic, and that I have to go forward (to page 16!) to find comps ending 05/12 and onwards. So the simplest answer is to actually search for a specific date.If you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0
