I realise this is going to possibly sound ungrateful or petty but is anyone else finding that people in the IWIWIW are thanking people for posts that they have won from and when you look at the post they have won from they havent even thanked that post. In some cases they just say 'thanks to whoever posted' and hasnt even tried to find the post/poster. Anyway thats my moan over for the day:D

Don't worry I totally agree so it's not just you. I've given up posting there now & just PM the OP instead so they know I am grateful xx

There will always be a small minority of 'visitors' to these forums that use the forums but don't particularly contribute. There will most definitely be people that enter comps, never post, never thank and never identify themselves (or their wins). So I think even if someone has only posted "thanks to whoever posted", at least in their own little way, they have contributed. Unfortunately not everyone has the time or inclination to contribute and that's just how it is.

As for not pressing the thanks button on the original competition post  :D My comping method would totally collapse without the precious thanks button! :D Without it I'd never know what I entered/when and I'd be in a right pickle (disqualifying myself left right and centre, by doing multiple entries no doubt)!:rotfl:
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

Me too, I don't know how people cope without doing that, I know that some people just post 'Thanks' resulting in some 'bumping' going on, but clicking 'Thanks' is so much quicker and easier.

One person in particular will always comment on the magazine comps days after they have been posted, I get so wound up by her as it means opening the thread to check if I've done it or not when it suddenly reappears........and breathe

Yep totally agree with you on this one, I very rarely venture to the IWIWIW forum as when I do, and see winners are winning without thanking the op...it realllly wind me up, and inevitably I usually cant keep me trap shut!!!:o :rotfl:

I am sooooooooooo grateful for dawnylou for teaching me how to subscribe, and make folders for each month. I subscribe to each comp I enter now, and file them in each months folder.
I thought it would take forever.....but it doesnt really

So now when i am working through pages, I can see at a glance which once i have entered without opening threads up. They all have little blue ticks on them:T:T:T

Totaly agree, but gave up trying to change the world.

Its just so obvious that some dont even try looking for the OP or pressing thanks button when they enter. I have a rant now and again, doesn't do any good but it makes me feel better:D
