Hi I want to add a link to my competition. I did last year and it was fine. I don't make anything out of my site, just a fellow comper who likes to give back to people. I posted on here last year...now it says I have no posts in my count? odd!

Just wondered what I have to do to get it posted as I am not allowed to post links....thanks....prizes include £50 cash, £25 amazon voucher and more...

You don't need to spell the captcha wrong, just leave it blank 1st time.

im assuming your original threads were probably removed as self promotion which isnt allowed.

Also to stop people 'spamming' their own sites there is now a restriction on posting links you need to have posted a certain amount

Odd as my site doesn't really promote me and quite a lot of people entered via the link on the site. Would it be ok if I found someone else to post it for me? It's just a fun poll....moneysavingexpert did well last year too...got loads of votes for best website!

Well rules are rules and they must be applied to everyone equally.
Even if the site does not promote you directly I'm sure the added hits will be of some benefit which is why this is not allowed.

It is fine to have someone else - unrelated to the site - post the comp.

OK well it's your loss, no wonder I don't post here if I am going to be talked to like that when asking a simple question and like I said it's not like I am selling anything like most people are....just doing something nice for other compers!

You could mail [EMAIL="abuse@moneysavingexpert.com"]abuse@moneysavingexpert.com[/EMAIL] and ask them to delete the account, If it is possible they will be able to let you know, or you could simply continue not to use your account as you have done for the past 2 years.

She did come on and ask permission first nicely, people could be a bit more polite at times.

You simply need to check the rules - Don't post links for personal gain - no one here can give permission.
