What a 24 hours its been, we weren't going to get another dog, but really knocked dd for 6, shes in hell of a state, we all are, but try and be positive, he had a good life, the life of luxury.
Cut a long story short, were looking at rehoming a rescue dog, got in touch with a charity that rehomes Spaniels, from 4pm to 7pm yesterday,
rang the lady who rangs the charity
filled in the online application form
spoke to the man who the form went to- there doing a check with the vets (fly through it)
then had a call from the lady who does the home checks,
so were haveing a home check Sunday, the lady, her hubby and their resuce dog, so fingers crossed, if that goes ok, we get matched with 2 dogs and get to meet them and see how we get on with them, they get on with us.
They match on criteria, such as children, other pets, socialibilty of dog, can the dog travel.
Will let everyone know, thank you everybody, ur thoughts are really appriciated and so heartfelt xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Just thought I would draw your attention to these things in the e-mail.
1. If anyone has mobiles to recycle, look in the e-mail there is a code that gets you an extra £5 off
2. Free listings day on eBay on Thursday 25th
3. Simon Seeks - a new travel website...sounds just like dooyoo but for travelling. It seems as though it is quite new and the brainchild of the man behind moneysupermarket. Martin points out that people who sign up when a site is new have more chance of being rated, becoming guides etc. Think it pays cash. Gonna sign up and will let you know how I get on.EDIT: Just looked and it looks like a fair bit of effort is required, they want pictures of the places!
4. Also if anyone is with GMAC for a mortgage, it seems as though they are paying people to switch to another company. Some people have had £20k knocked off their mortgages!

Hey guys,
This is not a dramatic farewell, but I have SO much going on in life, and not enough hours in the day, I actually thought "ah the odd 10mins on MSE here and there isn't doing any harm" but it is!! I need every spare minute I can get. It is hard for me not to peep on MSE because I work on the PC all day and night and need the internet for my work. Anyway long story short, is that I'm only going to have access at the weekends really (although if my resolve falters, I may be back in hmm.. an hour!! lol!). Please don't think I've abandoned you all, and PLEASSE keep posting on our lovely little thread. I'll be checking up on the 1st of the month. I really want me to be good and not come and chat, but I just love to natter with you all! I am e-mailable of course if you REALLY miss me haha!! Good luck with all your money making and review writings! I've got about 3 months of ridiculous hours at work left, and after that...you won't be able to get rid of me!!Eeek! Now I've posted the fond farewell, I'll have to be good and NOT come back in the week
Speak at the weekend guys! X
Edited to add: This was mainly posted not for "bye bye" but so that you kick me off MSE if you see me here in the week! All vicious PMs gratefully accepted
Love from Jammy xxx
