ooh i'm almost up to 35.00 on onepoll - so exicted - been checking it several times a day ...want to get there soon so I can get a payout before christmas. Then I'm going to draw out the money and give it to hubby to spend on me for christmas. I've worked hard enough to get it so I'm going to get to enjoy it.

Bought some more purses for 64p and 99p, nice hello kitty ones - things are getting there slowly and neutralness is looking good too. Can't wait to do a review on the 1st of July as I've found my notebook as I'm going to do a thorough list of what I've spent, saved and whats been made neutral.

Can any of the dooyoo members tell me if you get more points for having highly rated reviews (that aren't crowned)? There are some right narks on there! I reviewed twilight eclipse and put *spoiler* in the heading and got told off by some nark for giving away what the book is about!???????? gaa. not sure I like it very much. Comments like "yeah can you give a bit more detail...?" err..?? Who wants to read a 2000 word essay on a book anyway?? hrmph.

No you still get 500 points no matter what rating you get. When you redeem dooyoo can say they are not going to pay you for certain reviews if they don't comply with the rules/not up to scratch but I don't know how often they really do that.

Don't worry about narky people, you marked it very clearly as a spoiler so if that silly woman read it anyway, she's only got herself to blame!

There are some "reviews" on how to write a good review here. I read a few of these when I first joined, some are really useful. Also comments from guides can be useful, if they don't give you a high rating, message them and ask them how they think you could improve it, most leave comments though.

When I write book reviews, I tend to give a brief summary of each main character, then a brief description of the plot and then I mix in a lot of my own opinion in to it.

Don't give up, just think of all the Amazon vouchers you can get :D

Yeah you get 1.5p everytime somebody reads your reviews. You don't actually get anything for the rating. So the more people's reviews you read/rate, the more people that will read yours and the more money you get.

I think a locked review is one where they aren't happy with it for whatever reason. I think if you edit it, they will look at it again and see if they can unlock it. I couldn't find anything about locked reviews on dooyoo's website though which is really stupid!

There's a dooyoo thread on MSE which is quite useful.

To be honest I'm feeling really annoyed and patronised by people! How can you possibly write a review of a book "with more detail" without giving any spoilers

I would rather not have the voucher, and have my sanity!

I've been wanting to do dooyoo for ages but all that stuff gets me too nervous...I think if someone criticised me I'd get upset so I've put it off for a while now!

    Hi all,

just a quick question please. With onepoll - how do your receive your reward? I found this: Direct payment into your bank account each time you reach £40 and I think that then I have to supply them with my bank account number which I don't want to do. Is this the only way they pay? Don't they do vouchers like e.g. vo? Or just a cheque? I would love to sign up as every penny helps now but I really don't want to give anyone my bank account number.
Thank you for your help. xxx

I wouldn't worry too much about giving your bank account number hun, they can't take any money from you or anything. :) It's only if they have the long number off you card. Quidco pay this way and I find it really straight forward. I would actually prefer vouchers though, when money gets paid into my bank, it has a habit of being swallowed up! :rotfl:

Just looking on the website though, I can't actually find anywhere to put your account number, maybe you just give it them when you reach the threshold? Or am I being thick?
