Spud I'm sure someone said (Maz? Bunny?) the other day that you can just buy them from a pharmacy and they're cheaper. You just ask for ketosticks....I think.

Snaggs it depends, Boots down here wanted £7 for 50, Lloyds wouldnt sell me them  my CDC is £5.50 for 50 and ebay is £5.93 (with postage) for 50. I brought mine on ebay before starting but when I need to get more I will get them from my CDC :T

Still sounds dangerous to me, no more dangerous that being overweight though I guess. I'm on a very similar diet to the one they describe though - that scares me a bit.

I might not be able to come to Leeds. Ex is on a school trip 1 weekend in June, but he isn't sure which one yet so I'll have Charlie 1 weekend.

See what happens. Good job I held back on booking the train ticket.

Spud, well done on the loss.
If Mr Spud is no longer doing it, does this you will be able to carry on with it for a bit longer?
Bad news that he struggled with it, but how lovely of him to offer to carry on and support you.

Thanks Twit, yes I'm going to carry on. On Friday I'd decided to quit, and cheated, but it made me feel so ill, I'm carrying on :o

It is bad news for Mr S, but he's being really good so far. He is lovely (most of the time ;))

I am back!! My god it was hot...at the water stations instead of drinking the water I just chucked it over myself....:rotfl:

I got a stitch, swallowed a fly and then got a fly in my eye....I couldn't change the music on my ipod and ended up listening to S Club greatest hits all the way round.....

The last half K was on a playing field and by then I was fed up and I thought I was gonna puke!!!! but I managed to knock 3 whole minutes of my last time and did it in 1.04 woo hoo.....

My friend who hasn't done any training since last november and has never run a race before (and she is 51 but has the body of a runner) wasn't that far behind me..... good job I love her!!!!

Off for a shower and a lie down.....
