if you buy the little uncooked yorkshires try and save the foils to make your own in and freezeThe curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile0

My MIL makes yorkshires in the foil trays you get a takeaway in. I guess they would be perfect for freezing the batter in.
Aunt Bessie's been making a fortune out of it for years..................0 -
Ive frozen HM yorkies many times. Cook them in the oven as usal etc, then any leftovers, I put in a freezer bag then when needed put in oven for 3-4mins to heat through.

 Just finished cooking my joint of beef. put my potatoes in to roast and oven has stopped working. This means the squash i cut up to roast, and my yorkshire pudding mixture is wasted if i cant freeze it, so can I? i know you can buy frozen yorkshires so i'm guessing you can but have to be sure it'll be ok first.
Thanks in advance.Nothing to declare

Are the hotplates still working? If so you could make the batter into pancakes and freeze them.
You can freeze milk , eggs and flour so in theory you should be able to freeze the uncooked batter but have never done it.0 -
Yes you can freeze it. Once defrosted and used the yorkies may be different in testure to your normal batch, mine a crispier and using forzen batter and softer using fresh. HTHLife's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0

Hi Norman:hello:
Glad your yorkies went well :DI have added your thread to the existing one on freezing yorkies, and it seems you can freeze them (or keep in the fridge for day or two)
I have only ever had yorkies a couple of times in my life, but would associate them with sausages beans and mashed potato:j I'm sure they could go with most traditional foods.
Enjoy!
