The last letter I sent was dated 12th June, so they must have received it around the 14th.
Guess I'll have to sit tight....0 -

Can you check royal mail and confirm the date it was signed for? You did send it recorded like we always suggest didn't you?2010 - year of the troll

never-in-doubt wrote: »You were disputing the charges and they defaulted you? Are you quite certain about this? Can you post details of what the reason of dispute was, the date of your dispute letter (you know everything needs to be in writing or it almost impossible to prove you agreed in the first pace) and the default date advising who added the default. If it was a DCA then who are they? Did you ever get a termination or default notice from the lender?
You need to read back a page or two and see the likely questions I need to ask, answer these and we'll get the default removed for you (or try).....
I'll then post you a letter to send....
Unfortuately I was disputing over the phone so actually have no proof of this. It was a DCA which I believe was Moorcroft but can't find any of the letters (is there a way I can double check this?) What I don't understand is that on my credit report is says Abbey but other defaults I have are in the name of the DCA.
I don't remember ever receiving a default notice, only letters asking for the payment. Below is the info from experian.

Got a letter from Cabot:We've contacted Barclays Bank plc and asked them to investigate your query. Although we expect to receive a reply within 21 days, if the information we need has been archived by the original lender it could take longer.0

Got a letter from Cabot:
Cif
You already sent a copy to Barclays yourself didn't you? Out of spite i'd be replying to Cabot telling them that 21 days is it, take it or leave it. If they do not deal within this period then all data should be removed.
If they archive stuff then that is their problem! The law clearly states that 12+2 is suffice for servicing and as you've allowed 21 days then you've been more than generous (that is why I always add longer on the letters to show willingness on your side).....
Just sit tight and don't be applying for credit.... :eek:2010 - year of the troll

She said the way it has been handled was appauling and is ringing Experian personally to get both default's removed, this can take up to 28 days but it will happen and is sending me written proof.
She is also sending me a cheque for £40 to compensate the goodwill gesture they never actaually gave me!!I just want to say a huge huge thank you and i couldn't have done it without you :T:T:T:T
They have had 2 months already - is that darn default burried in the history books? Come on, we want another default removal to make it to the magical 50 mark in 3 months!2010 - year of the troll
