clearing the freezer

I also hate clearing out the freezer. I've started marking the drawers (you couldn't do this with a chest freezer) with permenant ink. I have a drawer for veg,one for chips and waffles and so on. The bottom one is pot luck and the top one is ... opened packets.
The idea is I check the top drawer to see what I need to use up as soon as I go to the freezer. It's working because I did the freezer yesterday and no UFOs (unidentified frozen objects ;D) and no packs with three peas in them! 8)0 -

I used to be very organised with my freezer too, I would compile a list stating how many pork chops, chicken portions, steaks, lamb grills, packs of mince, pies etc and when I used them I would replace them.my dad keeps a list of everything he has in his freezer, stuck on with magnets, drives me mad, but i know it works. :-/
However I havent done it for a while and its a bit hit and miss as to what we have for tea.0
