I dated a doctor for a couple of years, bless him, we were like chalk and cheese. He was a 'spend the weekend reading the guardian' type of bloke, while I was rocking out till quarter past stupid with the band. Parties around his mates houses were, odd, for me. It was a bit like putting Ozzy Osbourne in a stamp collectors convention.

Dunno how we got past the first date really, we had absolutely nothing in common, most of the time he would look at me with a confused look on his face :rotfl:But, the funny thing was we got on fine, and even all these years down the line we're still friends. I think he's relieved that we aren't together any more though.

Toto:rotfl:my OH is a classically trained musician....he got through to the finals of young musician of the year back in the day...he had to give it up due to hypercusis...and became an IT person instead....he met me and followed me to a nightclub to chat me up...when he asked me what kind of music I liked I said anything from Grease!:rotfl:I think he was embarressed to introduce me to his rather square friends...

we are so chalk and cheese its untrue - yet it works....well we are never bored...:D

I was staying with a friend at the weekend near Market Rasen, she lives in the sticks and one night on the way to a restaurant we saw a lovely Barn owl flying along some trees.

I am about to eat a chocolate cream muffin, bought at reduced price from Waitrose :D
