Do you have any idea about Fresh mobile?
Regards.0 -
I tried fresh a number of years ago, and could never get through to customer services, they had connected by the stereo mc's on a loop. By the 4th or 5th time of listening to the same song being on hold I was ready to throw the phone accross the room. And that happened time after time0

P.A.Y.G. fresh is the cheapest provider if you go abroad (Europe)never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0

The advantages of Easy and Fresh are the low cost text message rates of 5p and any network anytime calls of 15p flat rate, without having to top up a minimum amount of money per month. When having to do that you may as well get a contract deal and a free phone.0

We used to have 2 SIMs with easyMobile but the second one was underused. We were not looking to leave but the 75p charge they levy each month for low usage meant that finally we would have had to add credit just to pay the fines. The second phone is now with Tesco and is OK.
Easy were incredibly efficient about the PAC code and emailed the code immediately followed by an actual letter the day after.
In a way it's a shame to go (No. 1 phone is fine as we go to France regularly and to receive calls there is only 20p/min.) and they now have Picture Messaging and WAP.
They currently have a Recommend a Friend offer, but I cannot really recommend anyone who might be a low user due to the charge.0 -
JPR did you officially "leave" Easymobile or just stop using the SIM and left the credit at 0? If I run my credit out b4 leaving, what's the way to leave for free? Tell them, or just stop using the SIM? Will they ask for their 5quid bonus back. Not much of a bonus if you can't use it is it?!
Do they charge for a PAC code and if so how much?
Their website says they do free web topups and free auto topups. Has this changed since January when most of the negative posts were written about 25p charge to top up or is it a very well hidden 25p still.
They are the only network I think to give customers a choice of number. What annoys me is the 75p charge. Their reasoning that it keeps costs low is spurious; why don't they make it eg 1.50 pounds minimum topup per month to get low rates? If you don't use 5 quid in 3 months you can use almost any of the other PAYG tariffs anyway.
I also don't like that you can't top up at shops and ATMs and to get your balance you have to call a long +44 code no although think that is free.
But cheaper than Tesco whose best rates on EXTRA mean a 15quid pm top up. Might as well get T Mobile Flext 20 PAYM and a fancy phone.
Or if your mates have all gone for Flext, T Mobile's mates rates at 5p a call pm and 5p per text - for the mo'.
I got a Tesco SIM not activated yet, not sure how long I have to do that. But it came with lots of info. EasyMob comes with a letter and very basic instructions to check everything on their website. They did answer quickly though on customer services.
I'd say if you plan to stay and use at least 1.70 pounds pm they are hopefully ok

Easymobile have got a spanking new website, now selling mobile phones from £24.99 which include £10 of air time. They also have Stelio's tariff challenge.0

Tariff challenge? :rotfl:richardjames73 wrote:Easymobile have got a spanking new website, now selling mobile phones from £24.99 which include £10 of air time. They also have Stelio's tariff challenge.
I'm not sure what the comparison is based on, but it seems to have carefully ignored their rivals' inclusive minute packages or off-peak tariffs, and be highly economical with other facts
Easymobile tell me that 200 minutes on O2 would cost £54. As we nearly all know, O2 give 100 free minutes on £10 top-up, which easy neglect to mention, thus implying they expect the second 100 minutes to cost £54 - there is no such tariff on O2. Even worse, a £15 top-up on O2 gives this 100 minutes and an off-peak bundle as well, and the credit value to spend at from 5p per minute. It is quite feasible to get several hundred minutes on O2 for £15
I think the easy challenge is highly misleading, doesn't have any suggestion of what to do if you find cheaper tariffs elsewhere, so seems like an empty promise. I would not be surprised if the other networks complained about it; on the other hand they probably don't see a network with a few thousand subscribers as a threat.0 -
I've seen you say this a couple of times before, but when asked for more information, you didn't reply.jon_r wrote:P.A.Y.G. fresh is the cheapest provider if you go abroad (Europe)
Is it cheaper than using a foreign SIM card at from 5p to 20p per minute, with free incoming calls?0
