PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Wow, 3 first-time posters, all with a discount code, and all with a success story. One might suspect foul play, if one were cynical...0

You always encourage people to use online agents, and use one in particular.
I have never promoted the use of any one agency in particular.
Posting for personal gain is against the forum rules and spirit, and if, as another poster stated, these promo codes result in a payment to the person posting the code, that goes against this.0 -

I personally have no issue wtih HN - have used them myself and saved a fair amount..
I objected to the poster 'joining posting their code.. for their own gain. without saying that that is what they were doing.. It felt a bit dishonest, and I'm not sure that is in the spirit of the site.. give advice - give opinion.. but put out a code- withotu sayng it gains you money.. is a bit pants IMO0
