Just a quick question! I have the 20p off meal deal voucher from the Boots Magazine - Going by the coupon it looks like I can only get the Orange Vitamin water? But I really can't stand that one (tastes like heavily diluted orange juice!) would the coupon still work if I got the Lemon one?0

Hoping this will be in my store!!
Don't really use 17 cosmetics that much, as tbh i tend to think with make up that you get better quality if you spend a little more
nevertheless, credit cruch times, ive decided to stick to a decent foundation, mascara and blusher and trade down the little extras. So can anyone reccommend anything good from the 17 range? Eyeshadows, eyeliners, lipstick/gloss, bronzer, blusher etc.
Would really appreciate any advice! TIAI enjoy money-saving and am slowly entering the world of online earnings - aiming to pay for Christmas 2015 from extra income earned in 2015.
So far: Bubblews £16.19 . Swagbucks £25, Neobux £1.29, Clixsense -.
Freebies/wins 2015: 2 x Convent Garden soup boosters, mini L'Oreal foundation, LG smartphone, mini Clinique face wash.0 -
I've bought a few things from the 17 range over the years purely to get the gift lol.
The blushers are fairly good quality for the price, as are the bronzers, they don't have a huge range of colours though. I like the small pots of lip glaze, they have great colours which are long lasting. Lip glosses are alright too, as are nail polishes.
I would steer clear of the lipsticks and mascaras though. The lippie's are pretty drying and i just don't rate cheap mascaras.0 -
Oh and the eyeliners are pretty decent too!
Hope this helps!0 -

Good point
:D:rolleyes::rotfl:
Thanks Sally, I know in London SAs seem much cooler with all kinds of voucher (although sedley did refuse to override s&g ones and I didn't try again), but SAs here just scrutinise everything and pick up every possible excuse. They should be awarded the most loyal employee in Boots, take every item as if it's their own:D, but not necessary a good thing in retail though:p.
Anyway for any fainthearted bootsers like me, might not be a good idea to risk using black&white ones, as when SAs call CS they'll be told not to take it. Been there twice in two different branches:o...
Have you received any response from CS Sally, about your horrible experience in HSK yet by the way? Sorry if you have updated in the other board but somehow I can't log in any more (been busy with work so didn't keep up with either thread recently) Just hope they send you a sincere apology. I was very careful when I went to HSK nowadays.
Hi jessie_yi:) I think you are right about staff in London stores being more relaxed about accepting vouchers. My local is a nightmare - with the exception of a couple of SAs who are just lovely:D
I have only been turned down once in London, but that wasn't because the KOS voucher was B&W, it was because I wasn't buying the item on the voucher. Fair enough! I never use the voucher on the SS tills. I prefer to go to a manned till. I've started using the womens KOS voucher lately, because it can be used against 'any' KOS product. Although it does state any womens product on the voucher;) Only one SA has spotted the item I was purchasing was a mens product, but she still let me use the voucher:D
I really don't see why it should make any difference what colour the voucher is. Whether it is B&W or in colour, it is still the same voucher at the end of the day:rolleyes:
I've never had a reply from the manager or CS about my horrible experience at HSK:( how bad is that? I'm thinking of going into the store myself and asking to speak to manager about why he didn't reply to my letter. Do you think this is a good idea? I made a copy of the letter, so I could take it with me just incase he says he 'didn't' recieve it.
I always thought the manager at HSK was really nice. He was the only one who accepted my S&G printed vouchers. I tried in a few stores, but no one else would accept them.0 -

totally agree with you. 17 mascaras are rubbish. Maybellene do some good ones and they are quite inexpensive:D0 -

Sally, I would definately go in and see the manager. It is very bad customer service to ignore a complaint and it has been quite some time now since it happened so they have had time to investigate. Might be worth giving CS a call as well though and tell them how disgusting their dealing of complaints is.0 -
Need some advice from you lovely Bootsing ladies - I'm thinking of buying the No.7 facial hair trimmer, is it any good? I've got PCOS and started getting hair on my chin  which I've been plucking but that's causing scarring. Having electrolysis but need something to keep me tidy between sessions.
Don't want to waste money on buying the wrong thing!2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -

Hi, I went into a large Boots yesterday, they had No 17 on 3 for 2 but no info about a gwp which I wouldn't have known about if there was no 'Boots thread' Perish the thought!!!0
