Jazz Teddy said she saw the Olay Definity eye cream reduced in store and I have just had a look online and it is also reduced there too...
Online, time delay is also on a save-different amounts depending on which items so the £1 time delay vouchers that are coming out of the acm at the minute would go through if these reductions, like the definity, were in store too.
Cheapest item seems to be the face wipes: were £3.91 now save 50p and are £3.41.
So with voucher £2.41 and anybody with 10% healthclub would get more discount.
Not the best saving but good if you like the range, which I do!0 -
i scanned 3 KOS items that were reduced and scanned 2 vouchers because it was 342. it asked for sa approval so the sa came and did her thing. she just clicked approve coupons and left me to be. how nice
my heart was racing, i was thinking oh !!!!!!, shes going to open the voucher thing and see. argh. but she didnt.
but if people dont want to risk it do it 1 at a time.
i scanned 1 before that with 1 voucher went through fine without any approval needed.0 -
Thanks JT, Angie, sharonsmadhouse, jdrobinson for your kind advice & hugs,
also many thanks to the lovely ladies who thanked my post to show your support!!! Really appreciated!
I’ve called CS and a lady was trying to find out what voucher it is exactly. Told her is from shave.com (which is true) but couldn’t remember the full address. Seems they are not particularly suspicious of the voucher but they insist boots do not take black & white copies. I guess that’s the official reason??? So it might not be end of fun for everybody yet but if any of you are still going to use the voucher, please print it in colour or make sure it’s a familiar nice SA who’s not going to read all the t&c (coz after all, most of us are trying to redeem it against other items rather than the one specified on the voucher). Maybe next month’s headline will be “for some unknown reason, colour printers are sold out everywhere despite the recession”:o
CS lady tried to offer 200 pts for the inconvenience, but I didn’t take it. Feel like if I take it, then it becomes “all the humiliation = 200 pts”? Not worth it…
At this kind of economic climate, boots staff should really try to be nice. After all most of us don’t really need anything from boots but just keep it as a hobby. Despite everybody has a stash that can last each family for ages already, we still spend money there while many other shops’ customers are trying to cut down their expenses. Don’t boots know why their profit is still high (everywhere in the news yesterday:rolleyes:) while other retailers feel lucky just not to go bust??0 -
Do you (or anyone else for that matter!) ever go to the Boots near the market? Not even sure if it's still there? Bit far away from work for me, but wondered if it was worth the extra walk for better bargains?
TIA
Hi, yes i often go to that one. They don't always have anything on Clearance but if they do, it's usually very cheap...i've got some of my best bargains from there. Also, i've often found things reduced on SEL which are still full price at Albion St.
ONE WORD OF WARNING: certain SAs often refuse to accept ACM vouchers as they don't have a machine there BUT stand your ground, quote the AC T&Cs & say you're happy to wait while they call CS to confirm this...it usually works!0 -
I got 1/2 price No7 peel and 1/2 price No7 lift line from the ACM this afternoon. I'm still not tempted with the new GWP though. Maybe if Mr B would throw in a £5 off No7 voucher I may change my mind:)
I also had £1 off any time delay skincare product from ACM. I spotted some reduced mens TD products and tried to use the £1 off voucher, but the till beepedSA said it is for womens skincare only, but it doesn't say that on the voucher:rolleyes:Mr B is giving me problems again with ACM vouchers:rolleyes:
I bought quite a few mens products again today. Well, I can't resist a bargain:) I bought: reduced TD, TB, KOS and real shaving company products. The later is quite heavily reduced and it looks like really good stuff. DH is going to be so well groomed:D
I spotted the last 17 GWP and tried to get 1 with some reduced eye shadows. But, instead of scanning at 0.00 it went through at 1pthe SA said something wasn't right and went off to check the shelf:eek: She came back and told me the offer has finished so I couldn't have it:(
off to catch up now...
EDIT: just seen your post jessie_yi, about KOS vouchers:( Sending ((hugs)) your way. I think you were unlucky as I have used lots of black and white vouchers.0 -
I tested a product similar to this for Boots around 2 months back but it came as 2 separate pencils. It was a nice product though. I think boots are doing product testing for S & G as I have just had some lip plumper to test which smells exactly like sexy mother pucker.
Me too!!! and such a nice free smell! But then all S&G is gorgoeus xx:T0 -

First time I have ever tried to use these vouchers as hubbys is ubber sensitive to sa reaction! but got the the same sa reaction as you. Normally when hubby is there it's a case of "for goodness sake just do what the lassie (sa) says but today it was you just stand your ground hen! And she took them! maybe need a man behind you shouting?!!!:rotfl:0 -

Good point:D:rolleyes::rotfl:

Thanks Sally, I know in London SAs seem much cooler with all kinds of voucher (although sedley did refuse to override s&g ones and I didn't try again), but SAs here just scrutinise everything and pick up every possible excuse. They should be awarded the most loyal employee in Boots, take every item as if it's their own:D, but not necessary a good thing in retail though:p.
Anyway for any fainthearted bootsers like me, might not be a good idea to risk using black&white ones, as when SAs call CS they'll be told not to take it. Been there twice in two different branches:o...
Have you received any response from CS Sally, about your horrible experience in HSK yet by the way? Sorry if you have updated in the other board but somehow I can't log in any more (been busy with work so didn't keep up with either thread recently) Just hope they send you a sincere apology. I was very careful when I went to HSK nowadays.

I have quite a large stash at the moment - despite giving away quite a bit of stuff to friends and family:D My husband has been getting a bit tetchy about the fact that everytime he opens a cupboard Boots stuff falls out:rotfl:BUT today he finally understands.....in fact I would go so far as to say he was impressed....he only uses one type of shaving gel (Charles Worthington Results) and it normally costs £3.99, well found it on the shelf today at £1 and 342 - that's 6 tins for the price of 1!! So he is a happy chappie right now;)
It's soooo true that the best bargain is something reduced that you would be buying anyway.0 -

Morning everyone..as my sister has stated above..my friend and i had an awful experience in boots the other day. I have phoned CS about this and they are contacting the store today and getting back to me.
My friend had bought the kos.. then the SA took her ad card and wrote her name down, she then said to me i will be taking your name to when you do your transaction, i said you certainly will not as we are doing nothing wrong.. she matter of factly replied well i will get you details of my reports from the transaction you did at the weekend. I told her how disgusted i was and that i would be taking the matter further..to which she replied fine. I will let you know what cs have to say IF they get back to me.
I am also writting to head office in Nottingham as this is the 2nd time i've been treated awfully in this store.:T :T0
