Evening everyone. Just had a horrible experience in boots and have to let it out of my chest before I go cook dinner, so sorry in advance
:o.
Well, haven’t been very active with bootsing recently. But after seeing everyone’s enjoying the KOS voucher, thought I’d give it a go. Last week one branch just totally refused to take it because they can’t take “photocopies” or even black-white ones(haven’t got a color printer:o). Anyway left it and glad to see that in the big branch today they started reducing KOS items too. Thought I’d give it a go with the SS. Scanned 3 moisturisers @£1.5 each (342 so £3 total) then 3 vouchers, all accepted nicely although the machine was saying out loud “saving 1 pound” 3 times:rolleyes:. Anyway when I tried to pay at last, it says “approval needed”. A SA came and input her codes whatever then pressed “approve coupons” I think, all went through and receipt was printed:D.
After work was trying to get another 3 for a friend (there were at least 20, 30 there so hope I’m not that greedy:o). Same thing happened again:mad:. A different SA came over, she checked and took my 3 vouchers out from the SS machine. Then she went away to ask a manager. After a long wait she came back and told me I can’t have them in one go but she can do it one at a time (even though it’s one voucher per item not per transaction). There was a long queue by then so I said I’d leave it.
Then she saw me holding another 2 vouchers in my hand (had 5 total), she said she has to have that too because it’s not allowed???!!!I asked why, she gave some wishy washy answer, by the time I went all red and just wanted to dig a hole and disappear. Anyway she took the other 2 from my hand and asked “do you have any more” and almost started looking into my handbag:eek::eek::eek::eek:. I said no and just ran away (I know I should have stood on my ground and defended myself) but my mind just went blank at that time
.
Later after I left the store and I just felt furious:mad:. Was thinking if it's not allowed, why the hxxl she offered to scan one voucher against one item at a time for me??Went back and tried to confront her (it was almost 6pm so there were no customers by then) but she’s not there. Asked another SA who witnessed everything why exactly she took my vouchers, she said because they were told not to take photocopies
. I tried to say it’s a print out coz I don’t have a colour printer and that's not the reason she gave me earlier. But she’s not interested in listening and just asked me to come and see manager tomorrow…
Anyway this will surely put me off bootsing for a long long time if not forever. Just want to tell you guys to be careful with the black & white vouchers and also be careful using SS machines. Don’t get into same embarrassment as I did:o.
Ok sorry for the rant and long post:o. Hope you girls/gents had a better day than me.0 -
Jesus Fillers,
That is one scary pic,
Imagine that being in the same room as you!!!!
Keeping things Boots related,my local didn't have the new no7 gwp on show or any posters about it,god knows why0 -
So sorry to hear that you were upset like that Jessie.
Sending you ((hugs)).:)
It does seem that some SA's make up new rules when it suits them.
But on the whole the majority are helpful and kind.
So sorry that you met one of the few unhelpful types.
Just remember that nice people are the majority and try not to let it put you off Bootsing.0 -
Oh jessie_yi what a horrible experience. Sounds like you just got the wrong SA. Shame you didn't just let her put them through one at a time for you. She had no right to take them off of you though as they were your property. I would go in and ask to speak to the manager and make a complaint.0

My sister and her friend had a similar experience using the KOS vouchers, the SA even took the advantage card to write her friends name down, and told them she was contacting CS as they don't know where all these vouchers are coming from, even tho my sister told her they were from the KOS website (not wanting to let them know about this thread) and they pointed out that they were doing nothing wrong, the voucher were valid against the purchases she still would not have it and was very rude to them both, my sister is going to contact CS herself to complain about her treatment from this SA. So be warned all it looks like Boots have started to notice the KOS vouchers and we may not be able to use them for much longer.0 -
Charliezoo wrote: »Hi,
I've been reading this thread for a while now and have picked up loads of handy info about Boots, thanks so much
I'm posting for the first time because Boots Viewpoint have said they're going to send me a product to trial
The product description is really vague - all I know is its something to help with the stresses and strains of everyday life.... could be bubble bath, vitamins, anything!
Has anyone else been offered this trial and does anyone know what this could be????0 -
Thats a good question Lea.
And I agree its an expensive product.
I have yet to use it. So I can't tell you if its worth it or not.
Perhaps someone might be able to let us know what its like?
I just noticed today, that it was reduced by £9 instore.
At £24.46 it seems a lot of money, but someone who uses it regularly
and has the Olay gwp Voucher will benefit and get it for £10.46.
I am being very good JT, my usual reasoning would be to buy it because there is 15 pounds off and it is in a nice bottle...
At 21 i might not need it- although I DO need some help with under eye circles i inherited from the parents so if someone who has used it could say if it worked for these I might be tempted!
Maybe we should wait and see if there will also be an Olay gwp soon??0
