    Regarding buying glasses:

I was looking at prescription eyeglasses online (not the boots site yet), and in the order section it asked if I want the lenses for general use/TV OR for reading/computer use. I use mine for the computer (don't need them for reading) AND to watch TV. The ones I've gotten in the past have always been "for computer use" but lately I need them to watch TV as well and hadn't realized there was a difference in the lenses. Does anyone know what the difference is?
I've found that my reading or distance glasses are both unsuitable for the computer. However, my old, weaker reading glasses are perfect for it, I think it depends how far the monitor is from your eyes.
As my prescription changes and I get new reading specs I keep my old ones for the computer. I find distance specs are better for watching tv so altogether I have 3 pairs on the go for different uses.

Always best to speak to your optician though as everyones eyes are different.

Hi. Long time lurker here. Been away for a couple of weeks and was wondering what the best offers are?
    TIA
  • am on a split shift so have just nipped to boots to try to get the GWP on a clearance lipstick with the line lift 1/2 price voucher ( thinking that originally the lippy would have been £9.** and the line lift is £13.50 so above £20) - basically it doesnt take the original higher price of the lipstick into account so wont work:o never mind!!

Spotted the new NC GWP on a £5 spend, lovely satin make up bag in beautiful bright colours will try and find a pic

OK - dont know why but the GWP that is showing on .com is this one http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=47277&langId=-1&catalogId=11051 but that is NOT the one I saw in Central 12, it was more of a black and brightly coloured satin thing and was lovely so not sure which is the right one

I also saw the NC GWP today and the bag wasn't like the .com photo at all, I was very tempted to get it but I didn't.

I did however get the new 17 £5 GWP which is far better than the old one! It's got a lipstick, mascara, eye shadow and nail varnish in.. I then popped into a smaller boots on my way home to look at the clearance section and on the way past saw the 17 bit with no mention of GWP anywhere.

I did manage to get some reduced mens toiletries at Sutton this morning. The reduced section is pretty dire though. No bargains at Tandem Centre either.

    Hi,

I've been reading this thread for a while now and have picked up loads of handy info about Boots, thanks so much :)

I'm posting for the first time because Boots Viewpoint have said they're going to send me a product to trial :)

The product description is really vague - all I know is its something to help with the stresses and strains of everyday life.... could be bubble bath, vitamins, anything!

Has anyone else been offered this trial and does anyone know what this could be????

It's changeover day today so think everyone's still trying to figure that out!
There's a new voucher when you spend £5 for half price sunglasses, and lots of new GWPs - one for a £20 spend on No 7, one for £5 spend on 17 and one for £5 spend on Natural Collection I think.
There are loads of reductions on men's stuff across loads of different ranges and there is a 3 for 2 and also a KOS voucher on page 1 that can be combined so some people are getting some really good bargains with these.

just spotted a new s&g product on.com ARCH DE TRIUMPH
    never seen it before.....http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=869479&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051

    HTH someone;)

I tested a product similar to this for Boots around 2 months back but it came as 2 separate pencils. It was a nice product though. I think boots are doing product testing for S & G as I have just had some lip plumper to test which smells exactly like sexy mother pucker.
