My other half bought glasses from Boots the other week. All boots own glasses include lenses in cost. He got 1 pair for £98 and got a second pair free. Also got 1 point per pound advantage points.I may have lupus but it doesnt make me useless! I am a true believer in Karma, and am a typical cancerian. I have a hard outside, but am mushy on the inside.:o0

RE Aintree, I have had very few bargains there, but yesterday was just a lucky day I think;) I do think you have to go in on a daily basis to Boots as the bargains change all the time and some branches reduce further before others
POLLSDOLLS - so glad you managed to get to Aintree and got some bargains:D nice to know when a post helps someone;)
off to Liverpool city centre today so will report back later - luckily OH loves bargains as much as me so have got him well trained to scour the SELS!
your probably right there, I work though and cant go all the time, plus as I see it, its not money saving if I have to go everyday cos of travelling costs.I luv freebies0 -

I bought the foot soak (which smells georgous) and they were both 'leaky' but I just cleaned them up a bit with a tissue before I took them to a till. I asked the SA to put them in a seperate bag. I think maybe op were put off buying them for this reason, but if they are cheap and will wash/clean I always think what the heck!!
I have also bought the gorgous feet, full price (well with the BOGOHP offer) and the voucher bleeped for that too. It's possible that there is a problem with the voucher iteself.I know others have used it with no bleeps at all, but like most boots vouchers they are something of an enigma. If at first you don't succeed... try another branch
I am keeping the receipt (with the manual additions) in my purse, so if it beeps next time, I will show that it has happened before and is a problem with the voucher and not because it is reduced. hth
thankyou;)I luv freebies0 -

I was going to show my DD, she loves teddies and that one was cute (in a scary kinda way :rotfl:)When I couldn't find it again I thought maybe I'd seen them on another thread, or I was going mad

On topic (sorry) Greenford, no S+G reduced, the mens hacket is still above the £1 level, not much mens FCUK left, clearance has hundreds (well, at least 50) of the No.7 highlights powder in peach for £4.99, a bit of suncream on clearance, not much else, bit disappointing really
But 2 more of my posts have also gone Mini and I know I have never
posted anything that would have to be deleted. I believe in Karma.
Do we have forum Gremlins?
Might be to do with the forum closure.
Anyone used the No7 Line Lift yet? Just started with mine. I find it stings a bit!0 -
Mimi if I could choose a celeb friend it would soooo be Nigella.
Have fun with the recipies, no doubt you'll tweek it somehow & turn it into a mimi creation.
Do go praise the SA as often one only complains about staff. Get him on the staff notice board for the right reasons & you'll have a happy scanner in your pocket to boot!
I never realised, but having chatted with an SA from this same store on Thurs she told me that the survey i'd 'done' on her was written up on the staff notice board:eek:. Apparently, if you rate your shopping experience as 'highly saticfactory' your comments re the SA involved are posted up for all to see! (Something about WOW)
I felt quite embarassed as she quoted back to me all the (lovely) things i'd said about my 'interaction' with her:o.0 -

totally agree hun, I am fortunate that I live in Liverpool but work in Southport so am able to go to them all on the way to work, so doesnt actually cost me anything extra as such ( just the amount that I spend when I am in Boots lol;)) .
Off to a Holy Communion this afternoon on the Wirral so might try Birkenhead today - report back later0 -
My glasses were really expensive (just under £500!) and because the old ones had broken I had to get new ones fast so didn't have time to shop around. Boots was doing a get free glasses offer but because I am so short-sighted, the 'free' glasses would have cost a huge amount. In the end the assistant negotiated a discount which meant I ended up paying about £15 extra for non-varifocal distance sunglasses. When I posted this, someone else said she had been given a 20% discount. So you could try asking. You can't pay with points at the opticians and you don't earn as many points either. (To top it all, the prescription was wrong as I discovered when I went back this Monday. So now I am juggling sunglasses for driving and two very old -- and different -- glasses for non-driving use, one of which digs into the side of my face and one of which gouges holes in my nose. Great fun!)
Glad I read this as I was in Boots options dept yesterday and the guy there bamboozled me with prices. Originally it was £400 with 30% off then it suddenly became £500 with 30% off, think I'll check out lots of other places especially if I won't earn the normal points.
I'm going back to total rimless and my daughter was shocked when I told her the frames were £200 meaning £100 per leg :eek:0 -
I got a nice brolly from clearance, they had loads various prices mine was £2,50. I have nearly £50 in points saved since Jan, wanting a digital camera, waiting for some half price offers0
