    Hi guys,
I am also awaiting a Vanquis approval / rejection. I applied on the 15th of April and STILL no response, unfortunately to add to my poor credit my post was being stolen earlier in the year and one of my debit cards was used as ID to apply for a store card (creditexpert.co.uk flagged this up - SO USEFUL) so applying for credit takes twice as long, I even had to get my ID signed off by my doctor! I am really hoping to get this card as I desperately need to re-build my credit rating.

I am a little confused, my credit rating is listed as 'Very Poor', I always assumed that this was due to a default, which I am going through the Ombudsman to get removed (since September, they are very busy!) I have 8 credit accounts which other than the defaulted one are all ok, 2 of these are store cards, 1 is a loan, another is an account which I have shut down and this has not yet registered on the site, there are also 2 mobile phone accounts, I have not made any late payments in the last year and have only applied for credit once as I am desperate to get my credit rating up - basically my question is that all this doesn't sound too bad, why is my credit rating so low??? Any ideas? I am on the electoral role (it's just that I am reading on here ppl with 2+ defaults getting accepted for Credit cards but I can't get anything! What am I doing wrong?!) Any help greatly appreciated. x

The great news is that i just spoke to Vanquis and I have been approved with a £250 limit, which is fine by me cos that way I can't go nuts and overspend. Got the 10 minute sales pitch! Still concerned about my credit limit though....

Congrats on getting your Vanquis
What do you mean you're concerned about your credit limit?

Ah OK! Well hopefully Vanquis will help you sort your rating out, as long as you keep up repayments and don't go over limit ;):D
