Yes HBOS bought Marbles so thats about right...... i'd write to them their risk and governance dept, cardiff. They may remove it as a gesture of goodwill - no harm in asking?2010 - year of the troll

I've just spent ages on the phone with them to get a refund minus my minimum payment. I've then arranged to pay £25 a month until balance cleared or until I get a job when I will pay more towards it.
I've spoken to him in depth about the default and he is getting someone from their department to ring me to discuss it.
So the default will drop off my account after 6 years anyway, but with this plan I should have paid it off after about 2 years so will then mark as settled.
I really need the money at the moment as don't know when I'll be able to find a job, the only reason I paid it was to try and be shot of them but they are still going to be haunting me for 6 years regardless of whether I've settled the account or not!
The bloke reckoned that after 3 years a settled default is pretty much disregarded by credit companies - anyone know if this is true?0 -

I'd be looking to write and ask for them to erase all data - can you confirm exactly what your credit files show? Is it default? CCJ? Settled? Missing altogether? Help....
This is a screenshot of my CreditExpert report on this debt:0 -
Also there were 17 entries in my June 2008 report and 18 in March 2008 so I've definitely not mis-read one. It's all very odd
Also the Marbles bloke said that previous to my payment yesterday they had last received payment from me in October, which was 3 separate payments that I'd paid to Capquest! So they hadn't even notified Marbles I'd been making regular payments :mad:0 -
