Brown mince with a chopped onion, add a good squirt of tomato ketchup and some chilli powder to taste (we use about 1 tbsp), tip in a tin of beans and simmer for 5 mins. Pour into a dish suitable for shepherds pie etc and top with mashed potato with sweetcorn mixed in and grate some cheese on the top and brown in the oven.

    Hi astonsmummy,

We have a thread on using pork mince that should give you some more ideas, so I've merged your thread with it to keep all the suggestions together. I hope you find something you like.

I do a yuk sung type thing. Marinade the pork in garlic, fresh ginger, soy sauce and honey. fry up some finely chopped onion and mushroom, remove from pan then fry up the pork, add carrots (i finely slice them in cook them in butter and honey but realise this is unhealthy!) then serve in iceberg lettuce with rice or noodles on the side. v. tasty and goes down a treat with anyone who tries it. even better when chopped cashews are added.

    HI,
Just bought a packet of minced pork and was wondering how to make pork burgers.
I do have some apples, red onion, red peppers, egg.

I need a basic but tasty recipe............and easy too. I don't have a burger press but I do have a grater. I don't have a foodmixer but I do have a hand whizzer. I intend to cook them on the George Foreman.

Unless you have some scrummy other recipes for minced pork.....ta.x

just to qualify for the O/S ers......

I have cleaned out the downstairs loo, had the w/machine on and d/washer and been out looking at curtain material to make my own, without success I have to say.
