I have a couple of packs of hayfever tablets that cause drowsiness if they will help? :rotfl:

Me too, only 1 pack so far. I'm sure I was twigged, maybe it was the camera tripod that did it :o

Yes, it is a completely different scenario. I certainly won't be doing that scenario. How disappointing!

    Edit:

Just read the whole thing thoroughly. I would not be able to do this scenario, I don't have the required overdraft/credit card interest, and the scenario is not believable for me as a student. I can't understand why they would have done this, post them as one scenario and then completely change it by the time they send the packs out. Emailing my AM!

:eek::eek: The original brief was to phone the bank, ask for a balance, see if they offer any further services and wait to see if anything came in the post.

Absolutely nothing was mentioned about "using an overdraft, or pay credit card interest or have a loan with the company you are calling". I don't have any of those 3 with either of my accounts so will be cancelling both jobs.

ETA: This is what it says:
THIS JOB DOES NOT INVOLVE A CREDIT CHECK OR APPLICATION FOR ANOTHER PRODUCT. You simply need to call your bank and ask for the balance on your account. You will then be required to ask a question which should lead the staff member to talk about accounts that are available paying a higher rate of interest. You will not be expected to apply for any other products or speak to another adviser about these products. To apply for this job, you must have an active current account with the bank you are calling and must be registered for telephone banking with them.

Don't cancel it yourself, email your AM so they realise how many people are unimpressed.

It seems to be a firefox issue. Try any old different browser you can get your hands on - don't Macs come with Safari installed?

Yes, I have Safari - it doesn't work on that one either

I don't really want to download more browsers. Am just annoyed that they have changed things - why take something that works perfectly well and then add glitches?

Oh yeah, I remember. Failure is not an option.... it's a design feature.

I don't know what to suggest then. I got it to work by loading it in IE. Try calling/emailing your AM and telling them the website is hopeless?

I have just emailed my AM to cancel the 3 I booked. There is no way on God's earth that I am going to tell the bank that I think I'm in financial difficulty! I told them that I was uncomfortable with the scenario as I have a very good relationship and credit rating with my banks and that this sort of enquiry would just alarm them. 20 minutes on the phone too? I doubt 50p will cover that to a premium number!

Good point about the costs. Notice you're also expected to call back if the first member of staff doesn't know how to help you.

I didn't think about credit ratings and all that, but that's also a good point. I was just thinking about how I don't meet the new criteria and how the scenario is totally unbelievable!

I'm not very pleased about this at all...

Sorry, I have another abai question :o. With the posh department store, do they refund the purchase cost or do you have to return for refund? If it return for refund, can this be done the same day?
Just wonderd if it was going to be worth the train fare to do a few.

    TIA x
Whatever you do - keep the receipt! For every single Abai job I have done - and there have been quite a few, I get a call a few weeks later asking me to download the receipt and email it to them. If I were you, I would buy the thing, go home, scan the receipt onto your computer and then return the thing the next day or another day. They put a big line through the item on the receipt and an "R" next to it for "Return". I wouldn't draw attention to the fact that you returned it, just in case.

I did ring her actually - she said someone else had rang up with the same problem and she said she would contact the office but I don't think she was very hopeful given it was Friday afternoon! At the time of the discussion I didn't know other people had been able to use it in IE so I just told her it wasn't working for me. Not heard anything since.
