Ive got 12 car showrooms to visit too .... same scenario here but I havent gone out and done any yet so cant comment, will give some feedback later or tomorrow !

Strangely enough though I have just had an email from Bare asking me if I would be interested in completing a circuit in my area this weekend , well yes I am doing it already .... very odd.... !
I didn't apply for a circuit, as I didn't want to commit a weekend to it (thus abandoning the bf for a weekend!) nor take a day off work during the week for it.
They may well have more than one circuit available, but not enough people to do them.

It's almost a shame that I sold my old car this year before this scheme came in, but I did get a nice car at a good price to replace it. And no, it wasn't a brand new car I replaced it with!

Just picked up my first phone shop assignment for Gfk! It's right near my work place, so trying to decide whether to go during my lunch break on Monday, or take my boyfriend with me and do it on Saturday for some moral support!

I'm such a pushover for salesmen - if I don't have him with me to keep me on track, I'd end up signing up for a 15 year contract or something knowing me!

I've done a couple of these and I didn't think you were allowed to take anyone with you? Correct me if I'm wrong guys.

The first one I did, the saleman was amazing, I actually really enjoyed chatting to him. The second one was rubbish, she couldn't have cared less and didn't even try to sell me the phone!
  • Can I ask, I have only done a couple of shops for BARE and although I apply for them, instead of just assigning them to me they phone me, leave a message telling me I have to call them back to have the job assigned. Is this normal as it is very frustrating! TBH I prefer the 'fingers first' methods of GfK, RE and TNS.

Well it says you can't take children with you, but doesn't specify about other adults. Do you think it's worth the risk, or should I just brave it on my own?

It's up to you - I did mine when my partner was busy anyway. The first one took about 30 minutes, the second one I eked out - and I really had to eke out! took under 10 minutes - 5 probably

    Hi

Hope alls well with you ! Its worked out well actually as DH and DD are away at a music festival all weekend so I supposedly have nothing better to do!! Saying that though I do prefer having him chauffeur me about for these jobs ... but hey thats lazy isnt it !

I contacted Bare about the email just to make sure I am really doing them and he said the email had been sent out in error...... hmmmm

I wish they would just do that with me! The last time I rang they sounded really bemused, but yet again they called me - I don't fancy the job anymore so I haven't phoned back. It just seems really faffy and as I am on PAYG it costs me to listen to my messages!

Got my first petrol job with ABAi today, just so I know before I do it (and apologies if it's been asked before) is it possible to see the questionnaire before I go? All I have are the briefing notes from the email. Thanks guys :)
