With the pizza chain, I was told by the MS company that they must deliver to me if my postcode is one of those listed on the assignment notes. Unfortunately, you can't see these notes until you get the job!

Anyhow, I selected my second nearest outlet and, sure enough, my postcode was on the assignment notes. Well, they argued and argued about why they couldn't come and why I should telephone the nearer branch instead. I made up a story about having had bad service from my local branch in the past and they just kept saying that they had no idea of how to get to my house (it's less than a quarter of a mile from them, if that). In the end, they very reluctantly delivered but said that it was a one-off.

This kind of means that I don't feel comfortable ordering from any of them except my very nearest one as I can't be doing with the arguing and potential tampering with my order.....

Has anyone else had experience of this?
Yes I've had the same. They refused to deliver to me as my address was covered by another branch. My house is about midway between the 2 but there was no way I could get them to take my order. They gave me the number for the other one and that was that. I had to release the job.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I Hate RE. I so wish I'd stuck with my resolution not to do any more jobs for them. They are saying that they are not going to pay me because I didn't order a dessert on a meal out, but as we had taken 2 hours to get 2 courses we had to leave to get back for the babysitter. I'm £40 out of pocket, they just treat us like dirt so furious.

If you go to the pizza's co. website, it has a box there for delivery where you put in your postcode and it tells you which branch delivers to you.

cte1111: Sorry to hear that RE will not pay you, did instructions state specific items to order, if so , they need to be ordered, especially when it comes to RE, i am guessing you have already tried reasoning with them. i know the feeling of sitting in a restaurant for 2 hrs plus, it can be fustrating especially if you need to get home.

That's so frustrating for you. But I can understand their side too - from their point of view you've not completed the job so they can't pay you.

I don't really know what to suggest I'm afraid, I assume you've already explained that the service was so slow and dire that you ran out of time - this surely is a thing the company should be aware of?

When applying for a job with ESA I'm asked to provided a short statement in support of my application, as well as the date that you can do the job. What do you write?

The first time I applied for a job with them I wrote a couple of lines, and last time I just put down the date. I didn't get either job, so am not sure if it's because I'm missing something crucial in the application process. Any ideas?
  • I have a casino visit tonight - no meal, drink only.
I was going to walk in about 10 minutes before my partner as I take it you are not meant to take anyone with you? Please correct me if I am wrong though!
We were going to 'bump' into each other there - as we are both female I thought we would look like friends going out?

Just out of interest, did you ask GB how to proceed or did you just release the job yourself? I know GB don't really care about poor service, they only seem to want to hear good news, but I would have thought this was something even they would want to know about. After all, if they have said your post code is ok for that branch, then I don't see why you should lose out, it's just not your fault - a bit like if they send you somewhere and the place is closed.

Is this for RE? I did a casino for them a few months back and took my hubby... to be honest I can't remember what the notes said but I would think if it doesn't specifically say you have to go alone then you should be ok. The only thing to remember (as someone said earlier) is that you have to join before you are allowed in so you need to take ID.

I was wondering the same. I applied for 4 different phone jobs yesterday, said I had prior experience with Mystery shopping phone shops with other MS shops - and .... nothing.

It was a while ago and I'd just started MSing so just released it. After reading on here about other people having similar problems, wish I'd reported it. It is tricky with GAP though, as they are hard to contact. Hope other people manage to get their pizza delivered. My kids were so disappointed that I had to order them one from a local pizza company instead! We've made up for with it other Gap pizzas since.
