Regardless of whether the phonecall only took a few seconds and the report was easy to write up - you still had to prepare for the job and write notes (well, I always spend time reading the notes and writing a tick sheet for phonecalls)... So all that effort was free, then..
Well, I'd already read the notes for the other garages and I thought the job brief was easy, but I am someone who reads and digests information very quickly so I guess this is something which might annoy others more than me. There was no need for extensive notes - I just printed out the (very brief) questionnaire and just circled the bits I needed to ask about. My call literally went "Hi I'd like a replacement X for my X car." He said "Sorry, we don't offer that part/service". "Oh, ok, thanks for your time". The report only took me about 3 minutes so, personally, I think it was worth my time for the reduced fee.I've done bits of work for Bare for about 3 years and I think this is the first 'problem' I've had - overall I'm happy with them.

No worries. I am in a particularly good mood today, so maybe I'm being especially lenient - perhaps if this had been last week when I had a filthy episode of PMT I might have been less relaxed about it :rotfl:0 -

Yes, I can see why you don't mind if it was that quick and easy. Mind you, it's a bit unfair for the poor soul who had to keep on ringing back - sorry, can't remember who that was. On a similar note, I did some email enquiries for Bare a few months back and got no reply to my email so had (I thought) a very simple report to write up but they still seemed to want lots of comments - I mean how much can you write when they didn't even bother to reply???? I found that really annoying - especially as I then only got an 8 score, which I still don't understand as there was so little for me to write about but that wasn't my fault.

I think I'm overtired. I feel like death - plus I'm upset at having one of my regular audits extended to include a covert bit that I don't fancy and also I've stupidly accepted a GR job for tomorrow and really don't feel all that comfortable with the scenario. It's not PMT but it doesn't half feel like it :rotfl:
PS Don't anyone tell Monkey Boy, but I've got his red pen0 -
I worked in the horel industry for 13 years before leaving to have my kids, and i've just done 2 phone call jobs for RE - one a room booking, the other a conference booking, and I was surprised how easily I got into the flow of the booking. For the conference booking I was asking questions that weren't in the brief just to make myself appear more real, LOL!!!We’ve had to remove your signature. I've never had a phone call come up on RE and I would love to do one! Is there anything I need to do differently to show these jobs? Are they still location relevant? Or do I need to look nationwide for phone jobs?TWBM 2010 Wishlist:

Yeah - everyone's having the same problems. Must be some kind of glitch, but if you click to apply for assignment, it disappears off your list after that.
I've still got 34 assignments that I can't accept taunting me!TWBM 2010 Wishlist:
