When you all first started out, approximately how long did you all wait for your first assignment from RE?

Same here - only done the big one once and never again! Too much to do for the fee - but the fast ones are easy & not too bad as I usually manage to nab a few in the same area.

It's a shame you have to wait four months to do them again, but we are lucky here in that we have loads of them so usually manage a few every month!:D
I managed to nab 3 in my area. I have got two big ones booked which I have never done before - on reading this thread I'm not really looking forward to it now. I've done loads of the fast ones so I thought these would be on par....seems it's not the case. Must get round to reading the briefing notes!

Hurray, Bare have just called me and I've got one of the next wave of car showrooms to do next week. They said they won't appear in my shop log until Tuesday. So keep an ear out for them calling this afternoon.

The large supermarkets are not too bad.. now they have put a time limit to wait in each department. Though as a man I was slightly embarressed to ask for tights!

Are these the TNS supermarkets? I don't remember seeing a time limit on my brief - the questionnaire just said 'was a member of staff present - yes/no'. Also, didn't have to ask for specific products.

Perhaps we are all talking about different supermarkets?
    Now proud Mumto3 :j

These were large TNS supermarkets.... Of the same brand that are on there at the moment. The first one I did (5 months ago?) was no limit on waiting, it was not in the questionairre but the brief IIRC. Now if there is no-one there if you wait for xx minutes, you can go to the next department. I've had to ask, usually 3 questions specific to clothing, fruit/veg and beer/wine sections, plus looking for travel insurance and a specific Q for customer services. (sound familiar?)
