This is getting silly now.

Seems a little odd to me that someone with a limited company-no matter how small-doesn't understand the basics of what is a claimable expense and what isn't.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Calm down (imagine I'm wearing a shellsuit and a black curly wig)!
Skywalker: Yes, you can claim these journeys if you were doing them as part of doing a MSing job (i.e. it's not really right to do if you were going to work on the bus anyway).0 -

was that aimed at me? (I'm the only one posting as Ltd Co)Page_one wrote:.....can be a bit of a minefield, and requires a bit of educated guestimating sometimes!
My accountant can see no problems in recieving tax relief in excess of shopping fee on a job.... This is my first tax year and I dont want to become unstuck early on. I am not certain my Accountant understands MS'ing - he is fine for my straightforward contractural work though.Praying at the church of MSE should be compulsory!
There are three types of people in the world, those who can add up and those who can't.0 -
Thanks Timmne. Thats exactly what I was trying to ask as I take the tube for work but the bus for MSing and I use the same oyster card. But I dont have a pass on it so I am charged per journey. Thank you so much again.0

I have been moaning as well, I do a fair amount for GR and have not seen a single thing in 2 weeks, so I think it is a quiet time at the mo!
UPDATE - Just taken a phone job on GR!0 -
GRRR been trying to do a travel agent phone call for RE - it has to be recorded. That bit's fine. Get through to the automated system, select "5" to book a holiday, that's fine. Then get option "1" to book in the summer, or option "2" to book after October 2009. I've tried 7 or 8 times now, the first 6 times trying option "1" and the next few option "2" and each time it rings half a ring then cuts me off.
I'm soooooo annoyed and the job has to be done by 1pm so looks like all those expensive, recorded phone calls have been in vain. GGGRRRR!!!

I just don't understand it
I totally agree. For a start, I wouldn't even have £325 to buy a top, not matter how pretty it was, especially if it wasn't even in my size. I think I would have aborted the job there and then and contacted ABAi to tell them why.
And if I had gone ahead and purchased it, I'd've made darn sure I kept a copy of the receipt and then took it back before their returns deadline was up.
All for a £10 fee? Madness, I tell you, complete and utter madness! We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
