Or just refer him to page one
Seems a little odd to me that someone with a limited company-no matter how small-doesn't understand the basics of what is a claimable expense and what isn't.

Calm down (imagine I'm wearing a shellsuit and a black curly wig)!

Skywalker: Yes, you can claim these journeys if you were doing them as part of doing a MSing job (i.e. it's not really right to do if you were going to work on the bus anyway).

My accountant can see no problems in recieving tax relief in excess of shopping fee on a job.... This is my first tax year and I dont want to become unstuck early on. I am not certain my Accountant understands MS'ing - he is fine for my straightforward contractural work though.

Thanks Timmne. Thats exactly what I was trying to ask as I take the tube for work but the bus for MSing and I use the same oyster card. But I dont have a pass on it so I am charged per journey. Thank you so much again.

I have been moaning as well, I do a fair amount for GR and have not seen a single thing in 2 weeks, so I think it is a quiet time at the mo!
Nothing new coming along on GR for me either. I like there jobs though, so I do keep a regular eye on the boards.

UPDATE - Just taken a phone job on GR!

GRRR been trying to do a travel agent phone call for RE - it has to be recorded. That bit's fine. Get through to the automated system, select "5" to book a holiday, that's fine. Then get option "1" to book in the summer, or option "2" to book after October 2009. I've tried 7 or 8 times now, the first 6 times trying option "1" and the next few option "2" and each time it rings half a ring then cuts me off.

I'm soooooo annoyed and the job has to be done by 1pm so looks like all those expensive, recorded phone calls have been in vain. GGGRRRR!!!

    (Rant over, thanks for listening!!)

sky walker - no offence meant, but what planet where you on buying a £325 top you didn't want or need to make £10??

    I just don't understand it

I totally agree. For a start, I wouldn't even have £325 to buy a top, not matter how pretty it was, especially if it wasn't even in my size. I think I would have aborted the job there and then and contacted ABAi to tell them why.

And if I had gone ahead and purchased it, I'd've made darn sure I kept a copy of the receipt and then took it back before their returns deadline was up.

All for a £10 fee? Madness, I tell you, complete and utter madness!:confused:
